Good Morning LL! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Thank you Elsa! We saw a little green yesterday, but it was just a paw testing the water. I'm thinking that we need to go back to the .45u dose and just occasionally give a BCS to drain the shed when she goes under 50 3 times. We always need to go back up after the reduction in just a few days.

Send vines for my DS please. She has held on longer than the DRs expected, but it looks like it won't be too much longer. Her cat Izzy will be coming to live w/ us. I hope she and Emma get along better than Emma and Tess. We've been transitioning Emma into the garage, she likes that better anyway, but she will miss the heater in the laundry room. I do have a small electric one in the garage, I'll move it closer to her cat tree. I may order one of the heating pads that Hillary got too. Izzy will get the laundry room and maybe the guest room, if she is good about the LB (we couldn't trust Emma in there!) She's used to going out, but we will keep her inside until she gets used to being here. There will just be a door between Emma and Izzy so I hope they can get to know one another through it. Any other advice?

WCR All 5 Ps, just about Clean Plate Club, Vines to all the kittehs in need of them and hugs to all their beans.

Re: 1/6 Tess AMPS~225

Come on down Tess - bean's got an itchy finger today. Green curling team is where it's at today, although Neko seems to have gotten lost too.

Sending tons of vines for your DS. And hugs for you Ann. I'm sure it's a comfort to her to know you are taking in Izzy. :YMHUG: I'd start by putting towels/fleeces on the beds that Emma and Tess use now, so they'll smell lots like those cats. If you can get bedding from Izzy and bring it home and then do the exchange, even before Izzy comes home, that will help as your two get used to the smell now. And putting treats near the door(s) that will have Izzy on the other side will associate good things with that spot. Our local SPCA has a practical note on introducing two cats.

I have a reflective heat pad that one of my kitties just loved. The current two, not so much. I bought an electric heated bed that was shunned by all, not sure those are a good investment. But my cousin bought an electric back warmer (for bad backs), wrapped that in towels and that was a hit. Good luck with the Emma transition.

Ann, I'm so sorry for what is happening with your DS. I'm praying for all involved for peace and healing for what lies ahead.
That's wonderful that Izzy will a have wonderful bean like you to take care of her
Now Tess, nothing to see up there sweetie, come on back down for your mommy.
Have a good evening!

Re: 1/6 Tess AMPS~225 +4~278 +6~236

I'm sorry to hear of your DS, sending many vines. It's nice that Izzy will have a place to go, with loving beans. Good luck with the kitty intro/transition, I've never done one so no advice...but my friend eventually used Feliway for hers, I don't know anything about it though.

Tess, you come back down to green, please. No teasing with the paw testing ;-)

Hope your Monday is going well :-D

I'm so sorry about your sister. (((((Ann))))) I'm sure it's a great comfort to know her kitty will have a good home. Good luck with the introduction. Wendy's link had some good suggestions. Let's see some blue, Tess, you know like at curling practice.

I just know your DS is more at peace knowing you'll have her furbaby.
That's got to be one of the hardest parts for all of us who love our pets so... Knowing that they are in good hands....
Sending many prayers for her and you. :YMHUG:

Re: 1/6 Tess AMPS~225 PMPS~131

Hi Ann,
You got some good advice for "introducing" Izzy. I am very sorry to hear about your sister. I hope she can stay comfortable and secure in the knowledge that you will take wonderful care of Izzy. I just lost my DBIL on Saturday. He was in his 90s. The weather we are having now reminds me of when I first met him: during the "Blizzard of 1947" when my oldest sister brought him home to meet the family. I was impressed that grown-ups could play in the snow with me and my friends!

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

The bread you got for John sounds neat.

Hi Ann,

I'm sorry to hear about your sister. I'm sending lots of vines to all of you. I hope the introduction goes well. I love that photo of Tess btw. I think it's one of the cutest on the board!
