WCR: Some Ps in place. She has 3 1/2 of the 5 Ps...pees, poops (still a bit runny), a little preening and only a few purrs. Yesterday, she had a poop that was a bit firmer, but it was small. Her smelly poops started just before Christmas break (before I started giving her the ProPlan hairball treats.)

So, last night, was a struggle. Her appy was practically non-existent and she looked miserable. I tried several different foods, but since she was so high I didn't want to break out any mid or high carbs just to get her to eat. I couldn't figure out why her numbers were so high after her PM shot. I know it wasn't a fur shot. Also, I was trying not to give in to her demands for the hairball treats because now I'm worried that they may be affecting her gut. @julie & punkin (ga) - she's never been diagnosed with IBD and I haven't changed her wet food, but I did introduce the ProPlan hairball remedy treats over Christmas break. She doesn't get a ton of them per day, but I'm sure it has affected her tummy. I have a feeling that it is a P'titis flare up. I don't know why it took me so long to think about giving her some Bupe, but I gave it to her right before bed time. This morning she was feisty and silly and sassy, but her appy still isn't great. :banghead:

Ok, I'm running late this morning. Hope she eats her food today and feels better.

Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!

I guess I'd wonder what's going on that she's got the toxic-smelling poop - especially that it's a new thing. I'd be suspicious of something food-related, that maybe she's developed a problem with the food. I might try tinkering with that. There's a really good site www.catnutrition.org that has a tab on cats and IBD - maybe something there would be an option for you to try.
