Afternoon,
Shadow had a pre-surgery appointment today for the local vet to see the lump on her tail. This is the lump of epithelial origin with low malignancy that I just discovered on
Christmas eve.
He had an opening on Thursday so we moved up the surgery from 1/20.... I won't have to wait.
He thinks it will just be a soft tissue excision but of course warned me that if it turns out to be anything bad.... we'll have to do another one so
hoping and a praying real hard that I have caught it early enough and it's a simple snip/cut.
Poor Shadow has been thru so many surgeries and I hate for her to have to go back, especially if her tail has to come off. :cry:
If it all goes quickly , he will also take advantage of her being under and get a mouth xray.... quick cleaning and hopefully we don't have any new resportive lesions
in the works. He said that also would mean another surgery if they found something.
He won't have time to do it all.
Of course my estimate is about $1200....
as always....
every time.... another $1200....
guess they just like that number.

Funny how folks wish me a happy new year until I tell them my mother passed on Jan 1.... an hour into the new year.
It's been 6 days.... still very surreal.
I can easily imagine that she's just out there in her room at the nursing home waiting for me to bring her ice, cokes, clothes, real food, etc....
