Good Morning, Everyone,

It is 12th Night and time to take down the Christmas decorations and tree. That's my project for today. Edward is baking bread. Rusty is lounging on his perch. It's 9 degrees here this morning; no new snow.

Rusty had a good night and woke me up about 20 minutes before the alarm. He'd been eating the remains of his bedtime food, so we may have a bit of a food spike again this morning. Nothing like a furry face smelling slightly of turkey nudging your face in the morning! We had a good test, good shot, good breakfast, and a good play with Big Bug and the cube (the play ranged about the living room and also included the scratcher (which is in the shape of an inverted "S" and has a tunnel with a "feather-head" hanging down: a good place for Big Bug to hide!). All Ps present.

We hope everyone has a good day today and are continuing to send healing vines to Rocket.

It sure sounds like Rusty has completely acclimated into his new home. Wonder who is the luckier cat_pet_icon And, your day sounds absolutely delightful. Enjoy!

Another fun, playful day, err, morning anyway, for Rusty :-D
Mmmm, I can smell that bread baking....nothing like it. :smile:
Going out to play today, Ella? It's sunny here for now. Good thing, as I have a doc appt., this afternoon, and hate having my DD drive in blizzard, for me.
We are supposed to get some later, so you may get your wish after all. :-D

nice amps for Rusty - love the turkey breath in the morning - too funny. :lol:

I hope that if it is 9 degrees there that at least you have some sun, so that a nice outdoor walk is in order. Those can be sooooo nice!

Rusty!! I think we need to mobilize the KTSS this morning - Rocket needs us, Spots brudder Ralphie went to the vet yesterday for a dental, and Spot says he still smells, and still doesn't feel too good, and Binks got caught in the slider :shock: and needs a spa massage... those are the three distress calls I received this morning, and it's only 7AM! See you later?? ~~ Mannie ~~ and uhhhhhhhh, can I help pack up the decorations??? I LOVE tissue...

Good morning guys! Sounds like your house is the place to be if you are a kitty .. tissue paper and boxes?? What could be better .. what kind of bread is being baked? Who cares .. they all smell so good! have a great day guys!

Take the decorations down already!! We all like them so much, but soon it will be Happy Hearts day--I already have a big Heart on my back door!!

sounds like a super wonderful day for turkey breath Rusty today! He is doing so well! I'm glad he gets to play so much. My guys seem to really like the laser light, but the other stuff, well, you can keep that!

Hi again, Everyone,
The Xmas tree and all its trimmings are gone for another year. It was a beautiful tree this year and I hated to take it down, but we have a tradition of taking it down on 12th Night. We recycled it in our woods--a return to Mother Nature to nourish the forest floor. Today was the first day Rusty actually went under the tree!! And he played with one of the ornament boxes, too. Maybe next year he'll accept it right away!

I had a wonderful experience this morning. My back was "out" and I was feeling really tired, so I stretched out on the futon in the guest room for an hour and drifted into sleep. I think Stu visited me. He always used to come to lie with me on the futon when I wasn't feeling well, and I had the very real feeling that he was there with me this morning. I've been thinking about it all day. He was just "there". He didn't do anything and I didn't "see" him. But I felt his presence.
When I went downstairs for lunch, Rusty, lounging on his perch, greeted me so lovingly. And I thought how lucky I am to have shared my life with Stu and now with Rusty.

I hope you all have a lovely evening. (by the way, my back went back "in" and I feel fine)

And indeed you are lucky to have found Rusty to give your love to, and he is one lucky kitty to be in your loving home. :smile:

Ella: hope your back is better; that is a lovely story and I am certain that Stu was there with you....100%. What an amazing comfort!!!

Very wonderful PMPS for Rusty; yes, you are lucky but you know what....so was Stu and so is Rusty.....incredibly lucky.
