Hi Everyone,
Another late start. We spent the morning taking down the Xmas tree (Rusty helped) and recycling it in our back woods as a wind barrier for the deer. We spent the afternoon snowshoeing. It was a beautiful day to be out in the woods. The sunset was incredible (bright oranges and reds above the purple/white mountains).
Rusty had a pretty good day, spending most of it sleeping in his perch above the radiator. Weather is quite cold and promises to get much colder by Sunday. Tomorrow I plan to go x-c skiing at a local ski center and then on to Winterfest at the Adirondack Mt. Club's Loj in the High Peaks. There is going to be a lecture on waxing, and I am interested in getting, eventually, skis that you have to wax to get the best glide (I currently have "waxless" skis, with a grip pattern in the middle and smooth tips and tails.).
Off now to hold Rusty's dinner bowl. Sending healing vines to all in need.
