You may have held the dose too long and now he has gotten used to it. I think I would bump up to 3.8u and see if you can get back into the yellows.

Upping the dose sounds like a good idea. And the poo problem is not resolved yet. But today at least today he hit the litter box. Last 3 days he did not.
