Good morning all!
Although I know I'm a cycle early, I went ahead and increased Lou today to 3.5u. He still hasn't even touched the blues, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to increase this morning when I can monitor. The 3.25u dose kept him out of the pinks, so I hope the 3.5u can nudge him into blues. It occurred to me this morning that perhaps I should open a new vial of Levemir, in case the one I'm using is bad somehow (even though it's a new shipment, temperature-controlled, and looks perfectly clear). I would seriously kick myself if that was the issue, although the thought of wasting insulin makes me cringe, haha. I suppose if he still continues on this way with the new vial than I could go back and use the old up.

Nothing much on the bean docket today, which is just how I like it! I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing Sunday and your kitties surf safely. Sending extra vines and hugs to Tracey and Mr. Jones (@Tracey&Jones). :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Sometimes they do need a little kick in the butt to get them going in the right direction :p

Oh Lou! I sure hope the dose increase works! Give him a little time and tell him that he's got an audience :) Needs to get the show on the road and get down out of those pinks! No place for a nice boy like him to be hanging out! :p:p

Ugh! I had an issue giving him his insulin tonight. Put the needle in, started to inject, and it felt like I was up against something (scar tissue I reckon). I took out the needle, and felt a small amount of liquid on the fur. Reinjected the rest of the insulin left in a new spot with no issue. To say I'm annoyed at myself is an understatement. I hope it was only a drop that got out. Did not need this right now. :arghh::banghead::facepalm: I guess tomorrow is another day, right?! I'll open a new vial tomorrow. The plan was to give the new dose a chance to work tonight before trying a new pen.

Work the dosecrease Lou!
I have started a new vial when I thought there was a possibility the old one was bad, got no improvement and finished the old vial, so at least none was wasted.
