Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Elsa - lots (!!) please! This bean is so sleepy...), and Happy Cheery Cherry Monday everyone!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, KBP, kitteh barista pilot!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is CHEERY CHERRY MONDAY!! Lola and Bug are making their cheery cherry pizza pies. It is after all Monday, and that is now tradition! Anybody up for a cherry pizza? so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! We gots CHEERY CHERRY CHEESECAKE too! as well as cheery cherry frappes! I love cheery cherry Mondays. :cool:

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. I spent mine at home, with a few local hikes to add some outdoor time to a weekend full of chores and errands and general relaxation recovery time from a busy week with the boys, Sunday was an outdoor day for me, at least in the early morning, and a short venture in the evening. I went to the shore at Meadowdale, had a decent time, me and the cold and the frost. ;-) At least it didn't rain! It was so quiet, not many people out early in the morning at all. A few hikers but no one else on the shore. Here's what I wrote yesterday about the day: "Hi Everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. We did well her, had a nice laid back, yet productive day.... until the water line to the toilet went KA-BOOM! You gotta love it. I'm sitting her answering an email and I hear this gawd awful noise, like something exploded. well, yes it did. The water line to the toilet blew. :o :shock: :lol: :lol: :lol: :evil: :roll: I had water spewing everywhere.... :? :? WHAT FUN!. not. :-x so water is now turned off, now to fix the piece of ****. darn it! Well the word choice was little stronger than that..... :shock: :shock: :lol: I sure am glad that there is more than one toilet in this house. HAHAHAHA. not. The rest of the day was great though. I decided to head on out early this morning, maybe catch the sunrise. Well I missed the beginnings of it by 10 minutes or so, as it took me forever to bundle up so I wouldn't freeze. Darn temps had dropped since that 31 this morning. So missed the sunrise/first light, and as luck would have it, I then dropped my camera, at the shore, face down lens open in the sand. :shock: :twisted: I swore alot at that point. well, good deal was that the sand was frozen, kinda lumped together so I was able to get it clean without sand particles getting into the lens. :razz: :razz: Got really lucky on that one. anyways.... darn cold down there, but it was a nice time. I also made the sunset at picnic point too, just on a whim, wanting something pretty to look at to wrap up the day. Sheshhh was that ever gorgeous. :cool: :cool: :cool: Earlier in the day I went to check out another pool at Mountlake Terrace, as Nicholas's regular pool will be closed next week for maintenance. It could be doable, if he likes it at all. It's an OK pool, not as much there as at Lynnwood, but does have some of the things he likes. I had to really laugh at their family changing room. Lynnwood has spoiled me... this one was a 4 foot by 4 foot "stall", with a curtain, and a bench. no shower, no toilet, no sink, no infant/toddler table no nothing...... and there was only one of them. HAHAHA. Anyways - I took some photos, posted them with a link for E/J to show Nicholas so he can see if he likes it at all. We shall see....."

Normalcy in MusketeerVille! :cool: :cool: :cool: What to say about the kitties.... They have been good kitties, and even Lola! Well sorta on Lola... Lola will always be Lola. Bug continues to maneuver Lola into runs and romps. She is quite capable of starting them on her own, but I find it ever so amusing to watch him coerce her into chasing him. Not such an innocent bystander that Mr Bug: Shadow Paw as Ann called him yesterday! :lol: :lol: Yesterday I wrote about Elsa and Bug, and her whacks every time Bug went to eat some offered chicken, before she got her piece. Once again Elsa was at it. Yesterday morning she and Lola were in the office area with me. Lola went to check on something, Elsa didn't like it and chased her across the room, whacking her the whole time. :lol: :lol: :lol: Lola finally stopped, sat, and promptly received three more whacks. WHOA ELSA! :lol: :lol: :lol: "Meow????" was Lola's response :cool: We have been a bit on the cool side here, low 30's in the mornings, high 30's in the afternoon. Both Bug and Elsa, and even Lola some too, spent the day napping in their beds. I think Elsa went out for a bit, but she sure didn't stay long. Off to a warm bed for her after that. yupp, for sure Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone! I'm not too sure what will be here today. One of those days when I shall see what comes to be.

LOL with Elsa keeping those youngsters in line! And yikes on the toilet water line blowing :shock: !! I would be using some colorful language over that one, too. I hope you can get it fixed up right away., Thank goodness your camera is OK, too...what a day! Hopefully the Fishie will like the substitute pool. It's great that you have options like that there! Around here, you have to belong to a gym for wintertime pool access, and even at that, most of the gyms don't have pools.

Sounds like you had a great day! Glad you didn't hurt your camera. That would have stunk. Too cute on Elsa and the whacks. I would have loved to see the look on Lola's face. Have a great day Michelle!

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O) Elsa has really been something lately. it's like she has to let the youngsters know who was her first, and that she is the boss. Kinda funny! i so now on that toilet line... what a mess, but not too hard to fix. we just need to fix/replace the hose. We got a new one last night but the one coupling was the wrong size, so back to the store for another. The camera thing... O.M.G., but it is working again so good to go I guess, and very lucky! Yupp on the new pool. Erin showed him the photos last nght, he looks and looks and looks, and then says: ' no slides? no cannons? no buckets? NO BIG POOL?, no hot tub? mommy the lazy river is too little" oh haha, guess he was not impressed with this pool. We are lucky here in that you can almost always find a pool. some are more geared to little kids than others. It is a growing trend in the PNW: pols are becoming more family oriented, just not competition type pools.

Morning Melissa ~O) ~O) ~O) THX,It was a good one yesterday. Me too on the camera, for a while there I thought "there went another one". I'm alwyas dropping them...and sand, one of the worst for cameras. I got really lucky yesterday. LOL, yes, the look on Lola's face was priceless. Big sis let her know what truly was. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi Michelle,
I "enjoyed" reading your recap of yesterday!--the water-line break, the dropping the camera in the frozen sand. Good to hear that all is under control today and there wasn't too much mess. Those pictures of the sunset are so beautiful. And the ice pics, too. I'm so glad you got out for some nice walks.
Elsa, you are doing a great job keeping order in your household. Show the young ones who is boss! And keep that wonderful espresso coming. We need it today. The weather here is awful.

Michelle, I hope that the other pool will be a good substitute this week. But if Nicholas decides he'd rather do other things, that's OK, too. Have a fine day today with the boys.

The pictures are great. I love the ice pictures too. I'm glad your camera was okay. Wow on the toilet. I'm glad it is an easy fix. :lol: on Elsa putting Lola in her place.

Hi Everyone ! WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :evil: :evil: :evil: I knew it was the calm before the storm. :o :o :o :o The tally so this morning, only: Three upturned dug up plants, dirt flew everywhere. Two upturned water bowls, that held floating candles, water flew everywhere, on the floor, onto books and magazines, on bookcase shelves. AND (!!) one chewed up ox. Lola got a time out. oh sure on that.... she just looked at me with those sweet little miss innocent eyes, and said sorry mom..... :roll: :roll: :roll: I think I will turn in my mom title and go take a local river walk. I hope the house is still standing when I get back. :lol:

Hi Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the recap - it was quite a day, but all worked out in the end. RELIEF! THX on the pics - it was a great day for photos! THX too on the pool. I hope he will like it. I think we may go for a visit first so he can see the place and how it all works. Then I will know if he will take to swimming there. He is one that thrives on a set routine, so need to try and maintain that. I agree too - if he decides that the new one isn't good, then I know he will be OK with other things. :cool:
Auntie Ella - I will try! For sure. They need a lesson or two - don't mess with me, Elsa! Okee dokee on the espresso - I knows you guys are freezing and stuff so I will make several trips. I am an excellent pilot in bad weather. Watch for me. 'K? ~~ Elsa, KBP

Hi Michelle, beautiful pics from yesterday, Glad your camera is okay. I hope Nicholas likes the new pool for temporary use or else there are always the river adventures. That is so funny with Elsa and the whacking with Lola. Elsa still has a lot of spirit in her, and sounds like Lola has respect with just a little squawk. :lol: I think you should start writing that book you mentioned one time of stories of the kitties.

Wow on the ice crystals/fog pictures - just beautiful. And the sunset pictures are even nicer :-D :-D

All of LL is glad that your camera survived! I would really miss your pictures~
Hope your bathroom issue is resolved. I always say we need a vet and a plumber in our family :lol: :lol:
It is nice to have a choice of pool facilities to go to. We only have the YMCA, or some communities have their own for their residents.
Maybe Bug instigated Lola into being bad?? :lol: :lol:

Wow, Elsa is giving Lola the what for! :lol: It's funny that Bug is now in instigator to running time ;-) Sorry about the toilet...blech. Good thing you have more than one! :? Hope your Monday is going well :-D

I can imagine Elsa saying "I've been here longer" *whack* "and don't you forget it!" *whack*whack*! :lol: (Hey, Elsa, tell Lola to slow down on the destruction-spree ~ she needs to space it out more so mama doesn't pull her hair out! :shock: )
Yikes on the plumbing ~ didn't you just have a massive plumbing overhaul done a few months ago? I'm glad it happened while you were at home so the water could be turned off.

hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. Lola has mellowed, and no more destruction! :-D :lol: :lol: :lol: darn cat, and I love her so. We continue to be in eh 30's. Not all that cold, but dang sure felt colder than that when I was out today. I feel for all of you that are dealing with the record cold the midwest and east cost are experiencing. I went and walked the Sammamish River trail, out of Bothell, to another trail, looped back and then down to Woodinville. I think I got maybe 7.5 miles out of that. Not too bad. It was really damp out, so that cold really felt cold. and the the winds picked up. Brrrr. It still was nice to get out, even if it just plain cold. River sure was low. There were lots of places for the little guy today, where he could have gotten down without issue to the banks of the river. Ducks a-plenty too. :-D :cool: I will have to get him back there when it warms up some. Funny there were no kids there on that play area. Can't day that I blame them today. I will post the photos in tomorrow's condo. Be safe everyone, and stay warm.

Hi Josie - thanks for the visit. I hope all is well with you. Right you are on Elsa - to em that is exactly what it seems like. She is asserting her authority! :lol: oh yes on the plumbing - thus is an easy fix, and what we just went through a few months ago was the outside sewer line, and the surface water drainage field. I am SO GALD we were home when it went, and that I was in the room next to it. Got the water turned off before it went too far. LOL on the hot tub! I agree!!!! i know... what I would give for one of those.

Hi Rachel - yupp! Elsa is assertion herself these days. unreal, and go senior lady! Oh yes on Bug - it cracks me up, but I've watched him do that repeatedly over the past few weeks. He can really get her going. THX too on the plumbing/toilet/ My thoughts exactly: thank gawd there is more than one. :shock:

Hi Jane - THX on the pics - I love taking pics of that stuff, is can be so gorgeous. the sunset from that spot is alwyas a winner. if we aren't clouded over I try and go as often as I can. it is easier in the winter when the sunsets are earlier in the day, then I can get there. I know on that camera. I do have back-up, but dang!, just don't want to lose one. I'd be in photo taking withdrawal! :shock: Bathroom i almost fixed. we got the wrong size hose, so will take care of that in a few here, and then back in business. I so agree on the choice of pool facilities -we are very lucky here,and have several. Some are more family oriented than others, but they are readily available. hey - could have been on Bug and Lola today. sheshhh.... she rally pushed my patience buttons today.

Hi Ann - THX ion the pics. Me too on the camera - it was panic mode there for a few when I saw it in the sand. Me too on the pool - we shall see how it goes,and if he doesn't want to go there, then we wait a week for his regular one where I know he will want to be. Right you are on the rivers! i agree on Elsa and Lola - funny but Lola did back off, and let Elsa do what she wanted. Then she took her turn. A refresher coarse from the matriarch here. :lol: i keep thinking that too: a book.... :-D THX on today - we did get out. it was cold, but a nice time.
