Yesterday's Condo

I decided to switch out Gabby's pen because I think the one I was using wasn't doing the job. Of course, this morning Gabby gives me a good number to start the day.

Gabby was all snuggles and purrs this morning. I'm not entirely sure it had much to do with me since when I got out of bed, Gabby remained looking very content lounging about on the covers. She's a smart girl. At the moment, the outside temp is -16 with a windchill of over -30. Many years ago, I lived in Minneapolis and this kind of weather was far more common. Clearly, I was younger then because I certainly don't want to go outside.

Much better number this morning! Better number for Gabby, that temperature is terrible. Do you have to go in to work today? I see the Chicago schools are closed, but not without some controversy. I remember the Obama girls being shocked at the mild weather that would close the DC schools. :lol:

It is going to be -35 here today here in Ohio. They have closed the Ohio State University which in my memory I do not ever remember closing. Have a good day.

Well, here yesterday was -36C, and today is +2C...and all my US neighbors are getting hit it seems. I hope you and Gabby and Gizmo are all nice, snug, and warm :-D I hope Gabby continues with the nice numbers for you, new pen or no ;-)

I know what you mean about getting older/cold....but I think it's because we're smart enough now to stay in if we can!

Brrrr...stay safe in all the negative number zones. I'll take ran over that :) Don't get me wrong...I love the cold..just not THAT cold. Nice numbers with the new pen.
 
Hi Sienne,

Thanks for the condo visit. I shouldn't have said anything - I think I jinxed us. Angie had more asthma last night (worse than it's ever been) so we're back to the vets for more detective work tomorrow.

I love the snuggles and purrs in the morning! It sounds like she knows how to make good use of a warm spot. :-D
