Since Spot got his pm shot a little later last night, I took the opportunity to sleep in a little longer (adjusting work time since I will be working a crew tonight and will need to work longer day), but Spot was having nothing of it. Every few minutes he was up on the bed giving me kisses, doing a little "wake up and feed me" song, or just sitting there staring at me (yes, you all know that we don't have to open our eyes to know they are staring at us, right), jumping down and looking to see if I was moving, then jumping up again. So, I got to "relax" for 45 minutes longer than usual. Spot made a LB deposit, was very furry purry for his test and enjoyed his treat. I had a small piece out for Ralph because I was going to test him too, but Spot had other ideas for it. As I was getting Ralph prepped for his test, Spot jumped up on the chair and snatched the treat and took off running. It was quite funny. But Ralph got a treat anyway! Spot ate all of his breakfast and I left him sleeping on the recliner next to civvie Ali. Those two have just taken over that chair, I'm telling you.
AM RALPHIE UPDATE: I may be imagining things, but it does seem like Ralph is doing much better. He wasn't pacing as much last night and he even jumped up on the bed by himself for his evening snack. He didn't stay in the bedroom with me, but I'm sure he went out to the living room and either slept under the tree or behind my chair. In the middle of the night, heard him vocalizing like he used to do, but it was oh so softly and for a short time. He was calling for his grammie to open her bedroom door, which, of course, she did not, lol. He tries, I have to give him that! This morning he sat in the bathroom with me. He did not go into the corner and stare, but sat/laid down behind me on the carpet. Tested him this morning and he gave me a beautiful 80!!!! Lookin' Good Ralphie!! He ate all of his breakfast, but he had food all over the place. Maybe he's still not used to having clean, plaque-less teeth. When I left for work he was watching the drooler push around her treat ballie. So it sounds like all is well in our household this morning.
