I'm sorry to cross post with the OTJ forum but hoping for an answer before I have to leave for work...

Monkey was worrying me when I came back from a 7 day holiday after family took care of her because she seemed thin and she just tested at 16.0. Her diabetes was from pancreatitis which I assume is bothering her now. I've already got her Cerenia and I will be giving that every day for 7 days. It being a holiday weekend with her vet already closed I don't know what to do, I'm freaking out. Do I simply start giving her the Lantus again? I have to work a night shift tonight and I'm afraid to leave her after a dose after how she would react so strongly to it to begin with when she was first diagnosed. Oh God, I feel like a horrible owner for not realizing sooner. What should I do tonight? I'm so afraid..

First of all, breathe.....if she did come out of remission, she didn't do it overnight and she won't be healed overnight either.

Don't start insulin just yet....I'd test her at least twice a day for a couple days and let's see how she does.

It's possible she got into something while you were gone

If she has a flare up of pancreatitis it can raise the BSL. When Sheba was in remission for 2 1/2 years she had a few flare ups of pancreatitis and each time her BSL was up, sometimes as high as 20 but each time it went back down within about 36 hours ..... let’s hope it is just that.
