Nothing unusual going on here today (other than some serious green :D !)....happy appy, snuggly kitty who is feeling slightly adventurous. Our roll of gelcap luck continues...third day in a row with a hole-in-one! It amazes me how we can do so well for so long with the gelcaps, then out of the blue we can have a really rough one like we did the other day. But, at least we always seem to get over it quickly when the rough ones happen!

I was going to post pictures of the cabinet I painted over vacation today, but I have yet to figure out how and I'm now late for work...so maybe tomorrow!

DH is shell-shocked today, as he headed back to work today after 2 glorious weeks of vacation. When can we retire????

Have a great day, LL!

Amy

Morning Amy :coffee::coffee::coffee:

YaHOO! :woot::woot::woot: We have a green Trixie today! That is awesome. Keep them coming Trixie. Nice job on the gelcap too. :cat:

On the photo: click on the "upload a file" button, near the bottom of you posting area. that will allow you to select a photo. At that point you can select either a thumbnail post, or "full size".

oh poor DH! I can relate. When I was working this time of year gave me a week or two off too. it was always so hard to get back into the TBP groove.

Have a great day today. I hope all goes well.

Thanks, Michelle....pictures uploaded - not in proper order, but uploaded! The beige-y is the original; dark brown is midway through; blue is final.

Good morning. :coffee::D Nice way to start the day and week. I feel a little guilty as if I were still working I would be going back today as well. Still with Max I have less time to do things than when I worked. If I was working I don't know how I would be able to care for him. I'm gald that isn't an issue.

Wow, I'm impressed with your cabinets. Must be nice to be so handy.

Elsa was right, Michelle :coffee::coffee::coffee:!!!

Thanks on the cabinets. I know it's crazy...I love painting! I wanted to turn something old and yucky into something pretty....I like that sort of stuff. These were our original 1940s lower cabinets from our kitchen. They have been in our basement for 15 years...plenty of time for them to get EXTRA gross! They still need a new top, which I'm going to make out of sheet copper that I will also distress. Then, the whole thing will go into the new room that we are creating in the finished part of our basement.

Back to work :(:(:(....

Wow Ms. Trix! That is the type of numbers we like to see!!!!

@Amy&TrixieCat Can I hire you to do some stuff for my house? Love the cabinets!

Sending keep up the good pilling and green numbers vines!:D

:D:D:D Great start for getting back to "normal". This is normal for you , right, Trix?!!

Great job on the cabinet and they will look stunning w/ the copper top!

On what THAT is going to cost though!

Love the green!!! Wow the cabinet looks fabulous! I am right there with Mark. Ughhhhhhh. I only hope to retire someday. Have a wonderful day!

Very nice. Great work.

Oh, and Trixie, you did good today, too!

Retirement? Not so hot! Does beat real working, though.

Yay, Trixie! You must have made that resolution I told you about - to give Mama a little green every day! :D

That cabinet looks great. Since you love taking something yucky and making it beautiful, please PM me your address and I'll be happy to send you several yucky pieces of furniture that could use a makeover! :D:joyful:

NICE CABINETS!!!! I SO like them!

Maybe you know where I can find the edge piece I need! I have a strange shaped top on our island - it's the cat's feeding table and is shaped to the way they functioned on the old table that was there. The edges are curved and has about a 12" rounded 'penisula' off one end. There are no square corners to bump against. I really want to put down a sheet of brushed aluminum on top. I can't do the normal edge wrap as some are outside corners, some inside corners. I have tried to find the edge used in old cabinet work that has rolled edges and flat center - it's then nailed on. I can't find that kind of trim anywhere but I KNOW it's out there. Any idea? Until then, it's still plywood...for many months....

:D:woot::D Woot! Look at Trixie go!! Hooray for the hole in one gelcap!! :joyful: Beautiful work on the cabinets- that has to feel good to accomplish something like that with such a short amount of time off!

Yay for a good Trixie day!
The cabinet turned out fabulous and the top done with sheet copper is going to look great with it. I enjoy painting, too. I think it can be pretty therapeutic. ENjoy your evening!

Very happy the gelcaps went down with the first shot.

Love the cabinets...wow...that is a ton of work but you did a gorgeous job!!!
