Well, yesterday the high temperature for the day was 46 degrees F.!!! It felt like spring. This morning we started out at 17 degrees and is expected to hit -10 by noon. The wind is still howling. I'll bet all the kitties were happy to get home to their nice warm beds after the Full Wolf Moon Party.
Rusty had a good night and snuggled in the blankets all night so that his bowl of nighttime food was still full this morning. He ate a good breakfast, however. I put his bowl up on the radiator to warm it up and he jumped up immediately to begin to eat.

on your weather!!! I was watching the national weather last night and they were talking about hoe cold it was going to be in so many places across the country. Those of you that are so close to the northern border were the highlight of their discussion, that and how cold it will get in the south. Frigid does not begin to describe it. And then add winds... Stay warm! We are headed into a warming spell: low 50's by Wednesday, and sun. Crazy weather on so many places.
Hvae a great day today. I suspect with temps like that that you will have an indoor day....
Well, the Weather Man was not correct: here it is almost 3 P.M. and the temperature has only gone down to +8 degrees. I guess the big dip is postponed until tonight.
Rusty had a good morning, ate all of his breakfast, sat on the radiator, ate some lunch, is about to be served a "lung treat", and all is well here.
Edward and I walked to the post office. It was cold and windy, but not undoable. At the Community Store we bought flannel-lined jeans on sale to wear around the house in this weather. @Ann & Tess You'd love this cold, bracing weather. And this afternoon the sun came out!!
I tried replying earlier but the weirdest things happened, there was no prompt for a new reply, then while trying to figure it out, I got error messages, inadvertent partial quotes from 'up thread', etc ... and finally after deleting 2 posts and posting in tech support for help, I came back to try again and everything is working fine as it was before.
Aaarrgghh...
All I had wanted to say anyway, was 'Hi', and that it was 25 even in Texas last night, and getting colder still by mid-week. Not below -0- like you, but still...brrrr. Of course its anti-climatic by now with all my faux-pas.

What a nice slide down for Rusty- good to hear he's eating and accepting the lung treat! I never mind the cold and snow if it is sunny outside- it's when it is ugly, gray and cloudy that it gets depressing. Eddie Bauer used to manufacture flannel lined jeans, that and a pair of uggs to keep your feet warm!

Tobey donned his extra fleecy boots, parka, special hat and loaded up his cimmamum snaps he made for you and headed to your house because you still have a tree up!

Rusty, did you decide it was too chilly tonight to hang out in the lagoon? No need to go all the way to the yellow floor. I'm sure it's plenty warm in the blue grotto. Having your meals served on the radiator is a great way to stay warm, too!
