Recap:
AMPS 212
+2 122 at this point aborted the cycle due to mum not being home until +5
+5 126
PMPS 139
+3 115
+4 110

We're very pleased to see a blue AMPS this morning as we haven't had too many of those. Looks like the dosecrease is working nicely to bring the whole range down and that he spent a good few hours in the healing range throughout the night. Purrdy is amazing, it looks like he doesn't know how to do anything but surf his juice!!!

His legs aren't good though. I'm going to post a specific dose question in regard to methyl B12 in health but I know I've seen an OTJ cat floating around here a couple of times with his legs still improving - can anyone recall that users name so I can contact her about what she's giving.

So close to green. What a tease! I think I remember Juliet/Silver (KittyMom777) mentioning something about about Silver's legs. He went OTJ very quickly.

Very nice numbers for Purrdy!!! Unfortunately I don't have any experience with neuropathy myself...I think Wendy is right about Juliet, though. Keep surfin' so beautifully, Purrdy!!

The picture of the Purdy patent magnifying system is hopefully about to upload. It's a small heavy vase at thebottom with an plant pot with a hole in the bottom on top to hold it in place on the right angle. What a clever mum I have!

Wow, Serryn that is impressive!!! She should, in fact, patent them and sell them also in Europe, Canada, and the U.S. :joyful::joyful::joyful:

Purdy is doing great. Did you need the dose on the methyl B12? Here's some info on methylB12 dosing.

Have a great day, Serryn!

Decided to double Purrdy's methyl B12 he's on 3mg currently so we're going to up it to 6mg and see if we can get any action.

Lowest PS to date but still none of that elusive :D tonight we'll get a +3 and mum's going to get up for a +6. Depending on what we find I'm thinking that a dosecrease could be in order for tomorrow night as he will have had 6 cycles on 1.25. Given the aborted cycle yesterday in the AM I had been thinking we should wait an extra couple of cycles but the HC didn't seem to affect him much so now I'm thinking maybe not...

Now that is genius!!! I need one! :joyful:

The typical dose of methyl B-12 is 3 mg. I would talk to your vet before doubling the dose. I recently heard about a person who was overdosing on B12. It takes probably a couple of months before you can expect to see a change

I've been giving my cat 5,000 mcg of B12 - I know this is more than the recommended 3,000 mcg but after just 6 weeks, my kitty is back on his toes and walking a LOT better. I got it from Vitacost - you have to make sure you don't use one that has added sugar though. My vet said you cant really overdose B12 as its water soluble. Anything they dont need they will pee out.

3-5mg/3000-5000mcg is the usual dosage recommended, so that's well within acceptable range. I agree that it would be best not to have added sugar, of course, but - even more important- please watch to make sure it does not contain the artificial sweetener Xylitol, which is toxic to cats and dogs.

The one above contains nothing bad....I checked this and with my vet. The ingredients are:

Gelatin (capsule), rice flour, stearic acid (vegetable source) and magnesium stearate (vegetable source).

Thanks for the suggestion, we checked them out but I'm not keen on the rice flour carbs for a diabetic, decided to go with the Zobaline formulated specifically for diabetic cats which also has folic acid.

Am sure both would work fine. I have heard of others that have used Zobaline. The one I use has not made my kitty's numbers go any higher.
