Yesterday, fur shot recovery day. Thanks to all the peeps who visited my chorus line later in the day.

1/4 Recap:
AMPS 180 +9 288
PMPS 248 +5 238

So nice to see Neko has hopped back on the blues train. I got another chorus or two of the purr duet again this morning. Neko's purr is deeper and more rumbly than Theo's but it always has been. Maybe it's the part Maine Coon in her? She even started purring during testing this morning. She doesn't often do that, so it surprised me. I guess she's happier back in better numbers too.

It's yet another in the house day for kitties. Solarium is gray and cool. The storm that's been going through is starting to ease off. Rain here, but lots of snow higher up and in the valley.

Glad Neko is getting better numbers. Wish Toby would get with the program although he was better today. Take care Peg and Toby

Ah those darn fur shots, as a wise FDMBer once wrote, just one number among thousands. Who was it? I can't remember who, but I remember the message!

Look at those pretty blues for Miss Neko! Wendy, I do believe it is darker now at 2:00PM than it was in all of the month of December-due to this stormy rainy cold weather front! That's why I leave Christmas lights outside, I see lots of others in the neighborhood did the same thing LOL

Neko is still rocking the blues tonight. Her dental is on Wednesday. :nailbiting::nailbiting: While I was out at noon, dental vetty office called and left a message with DH. The message he took down was "no food" - might have been helpful to know when. Course I was given the message after their office closed.:banghead: When I set up the appointment I was told I could feed until 6AM, so I was planning on getting up at 5:30 (+10) to feed her. Yet another thing to start to worry about and follow up with tomorrow.

@ Tara, Peg, Carla, Liz, Ruth - Recovering from a fur shot just in time for a deliberate one on Wednesday. Vetty office said 1/2 dose, but last time I gave her 1/4 dose and they tested her in the 50's, so I'm thinking not 1/2 dose, depending where she is in the AM. Liz - I wish the fur shot was just ONE - they come in multiples here. Ruth - lights are still on here too, pretty dark today.

Their fuds dance makes me think of that old commercial "chow, chow, chow". Nice blues and fast recovery for the BBWG.

Sending extra special snd early great dental vetty vines. Hope the vet calls you early and confirms the feeding schedule.

Wendy I hope you get the schedule sorted beforehand- nothing more frustrating than getting the message when the clinic is closed!

gotta love them hahahaha.

Re your PM - Vyktor had multiple extractions and had to have an infection scraped out of his jaw at the same time as the removal of the excess tissue. He didn't bounce back as well as he normally has just from extractions but that was a pretty severe dental. He was on soup for about five days - completely mashed up food mixed with plenty of water as they didn't want him doing a chewing motion just wanted him to lap up his food. He did want to eat as soon as he came home - I gave him little bits every 15 mins until he was happy - but by the next day with the pain relief wearing off he started going off his fuds again. He'd try to eat but then be pawing at his mouth and shaking his head. They hadn't sent me home with pain meds because they'd given him something long lasting, tramadol isn't so good with him and they're not supposed to give bupe to take home. I had to take him back for another long lasting injection the following day and that time (given how stressed out he gets at the vet and the concern he would break his stitches with all the hissing) they did send me home with three doses of bupe to be given orally all drawn into syringes and ready to go. That saw him through and he was back to his normal self within a few days. Well almost - he doesn't draw blood anymore when he bites me!

@ Serryn - Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure what to expect if she gets gum work done. She has had a dental before but no extractions, though my civie has. Neko eats raw food, which is a little hard turn into soup. She might have to go onto canned for a couple of days and I do have some around. Plus I've been hording a jar of meat babyfood that I got in the US last year. Might be time to use it.

My vet often calls back after his last appointment when the phones are turned off. Many a time he would leave a partial message on my home phone answering machine that would cut him off and I'd have to wait until the next day to find out what it was. The worst was when he left a message about a biopsy. It's a good thing the dental isn't until Wednesday. I hope it's a simple dental
