Michelle, I missed your condo yesterday so I'm just now catching up. So sorry you had a tough day with having to take Mannie to the vet. Poor boy -- I hope he has recovered this morning from the big ordeal. I have to give Cleo lots of pills and I also buy the #3 capsules from thrivingpets.com and put all the pills in the one capsule. Both Simon and Cleo do not like the pill pockets so it is the "down the hatch" with them and syringe water. Someone also told me that when you get the pill in the cat's mouth, to touch the tongue and they will automatically swallow. I've tried it and it seems to work -- not sure why. Cleo hates miralax on anything so I have to mix up a little in her water and squirt it down with a syringe. We have also tried the Orbax and it didn't seem to cause any tummy upset (and it is liquid). Should be easier on Mannie, too.

Hope the cardiologist can offer some suggestions.

Take care and give your boy a hug from me.

Morning Georgia - many thanks for all of that. The gelcaps may be the way to go. I need to figure out just what I am after in the "pilling" dept. Some he has to take, others are supplements,. Still alot to try and get in him, especially when he is a "no way" kitty. I had not heard that on the tongue touching I will try that too. It surely can't hurt. Mannie used to like the pill pockets, that made it easy, but not any more... so it is either in his fuds, or down the hatch. The baby food worked this AM: a dab of BF, pill in the middle, and no complaints from him. Nice to know on the Orbax - thanks! and me too on the cardiologist! :-D will do on the hug.
