1/5: Jude: AMPS 296; +4 274; +9.5 262; PMPS 381; +3 349

I see you gave only 2.75u this morning? You don't want to change doses based on preshots. Today would have been a good day to see how he does at 3u since you could monitor.

I can't see the note in the SS. I'm on my phone and there seems to be some weird pink shading in the columns.

I failed to hit the return key after typing the note I entered in the ss, so I'm guessing that is why it wasn't showing up. Anyway, Amazon tells me the test strips should arrive by 10 p.m. today, so I'll get Jude back on track asap. I think I'm going to sneak him into work with me tomorrow :-) so that I can monitor him.

I've gone ahead and ordered a backup supply of test strips for the future. We burn through these strips! I don't want to change to a human meter bc the AlphaTrak3 accepts such a small blood sample, but I may be forced to switch over to something cheaper.

Do you have difficulty getting blood? The AT strips are almost 5x as expensive as the human ones?

Yes, sometimes I just get a teeny bit of blood, which is why I like the AT3--I rarely have to poke twice with it. I know I could use a larger gauge lancet (I use 30g), but Jude doesn't flinch as much with the smaller gauge. I considered the Freestyle Freedom Lite, which also takes .03 microliter blood sample, and even ordered it and some test strips from Amazon. The test strips were not as cheap as other meters, but still cheaper than the AT3, but then I got concerned because I was seeing FFL test strips at a much higher price (double the price of AT3) in the pharmacy, and I worried that the strips at Amazon might be knock-offs. I ended up returning the meter and strips and am going to consider the Relion.
