Good morning everyone :-D callie and I hope everyone is having a great day ! cat_pet_icon

well its been a while since I posted, let me start with I have a client I bring into my home to work with ( handy cap young adults) she is 20 and lives with her parents. she got a dog about a week ago from someone who doesn't take care of their animals :cry: my concern was if the dog had any illnesses or fleas ???? talked to my boss and the vet and the mom about this the mom got pissed at me for even asking :o I was very nice and explained my concerns because of callie my boss and the vet understood and the vet suggested to put that flea drops on back of neck for both my cats and said it would not hurt callie!!!! I did this on Sunday night around 7 pm callie stopped eating after this and my other cat threw up Monday morning and wouldn't eat either

I called the vet and (man vet) he said that was not the reason and not to worry ?????? that the flea drops are not harmful, well every cat is different right ! so on Monday callie ate maybe a total of 1 can of ff all day :cry: what little she did eat was before her shots.

so on Tuesday I called the vet again (girl vet this time) and talked to her she told me to give them a( Dawn dish washing liquid) sponge bath were I put the flea liquid on them so I did this and then washed them with plain water and dried them real good. Tuesday night they both started eating normal again and no more throwing up, callie has been eating good since them but I am never putting that stuff on my cats again !!!!

I have one cat that reacts badly to Advantage flea drops, doesn't eat, acts lethargic. My grandmother's outdoor stray that we trapped neutered and released reacted badly to Revolution drops we put on him to try to keep him from getting ear mites again; he didn't eat hardly anything for 3 days and just layed around on the deck. I don't like putting any of that stuff on my cats just hope flea eggs never come in from outside from feral colony I tend; don't want them to ever get tapeworms either!
Glad they are feeling better after their bath.
 
I know Angela right the vet thought I was nuts said they have never heard of a cat reacting like that, least I know its not just my cats , dh was so mad at me for putting that s*it on my girls , I just don't know what I'm gona do about the work situation , the only opption it to bring her to my house , no one has ever been in their home including my boss ???
 
Oh that horrible
I know I tried an all natuaral flea and tick **** and I think that is worse
than the actual medicine!
I hate doing that!
Glad she is feeling better
