Holding Isil and Tifil close in our thoughts and prayers again today as these two strong ladies fight their way through the Turkish veterinary system issues they've been facing.

So this morning GroggyBean left CivvieNoah's kibbles on the kitchen counter whe GroggyBean went BTB ohmygod_smile . Looking at the potential positives: If Trix discovered them, chances are she would have licked the bowl clean, but there were still kibbles left so hopefully she didn't realize they were there; Trix is afraid of the counters so it's very rare that she goes up there; they are "high protein/grain-free/supposed low-carb" kibbles...yes, they are kibbles none-the-less, but I'm assuming they could be worse. So far so good, but the looks of her +2.5...only time will tell.

OT - Mason was very pleased that his aunties are looking out for him. :lol:

Hi Amy - nice start to Trixie today. Looks like maybe Trixie missed the kibble... paws crossed. I cannot count the number of times I have done that too. :roll: I am grateful that Mannie too is not a counter cat....

Hi guys .. nice numbers for trixie .. hopefully no contraband was discovered .. I don't know how many times we've picked up the kitty fuds only to run back out there 2 minutes later to make sure we really DID pick them up! Such fear in this house :lol: have a great day!

Looks like she stayed away from StupidBean mistake kibbles - good girl!

First vetty visit of the year out of the way :roll: . Had to take Mario for bloodwork and BP check. BW will be in tomorrow, but his BP is a tad high again...in a nutshell, he needs a BID dose of amlodapine that is so small he can't use the human tablets...gonna have to get special kitty tablets compounded just for him. Can't wait to see how much this one is gonna cost...time to look into selling kidneys again :lol: !

Time did tell and Trixie was a good girl! And now a pretty green one. I hope all of Mario's bw comes back clean. On a positive note, I hear there is quite a lucrative black market in kidneys. :lol:

Trixie! Looking good, better, even better at +4.5! Maybe you won't need to sell a kidney if Trix goes OTJ. :-D

Nice flat day...love it! Hopefully we'll see a fairly flat night, too...no big drips, DoodleBug!

Oh, Trixie's care is almost free compared to Mario's...all his blood work, BP checks ($55 every time they check it :shock: ! I wish I could do that one at home...), and meds are what's making me think of the black market :lol: ! Yes, he's worth it, but I tell ya, every month, something new gets added on to the tab...now with the fancy shmancy customized amlodipine. I think he stays up nights thinking of new ways to spend cash :lol: !

Can they make a pill that can fit into a pill pocket?? Copper used to chomp them right down!
I know these cats are so expensive, but Hey We Adore them, right??

Apparently this specially compounded pill will fit in a pill pocket, which Mario loves. Our other options are liquids or capsules, both of which would be cheaper, but I don't want to stress him with BID liquid meds or capsules when I know the PP will work for him.

Nice day for Trixie!!! Glad to see she didn't get into the kibble. Good girl Trix!!! Good luck with the Amlodipine. Are you getting it from your vet or getting it yourself from a pharmacy?
 
Thanks for going easy on us so far tonight, Trix! Hopefully +4 will be on par with +2, and we beans can turn in.

We're currently getting the amlodipine from the vet, because he's been on the human tablets all year. But now that his needs have changed, we have to have it compounded into a kitty-tab. I'm planning on getting it through Drs Foster and Smith, since that's where I get his transdermal tapazole and adequan, too. Trying to keep at least part of this medication management simple!
 
Very nice cycles for the Trixster! Those pill pockets are wonderful. Fnding those to give pills was a big stress reducer for us. Skritches to your fur babies from us.
