And we haz our first :D:D:D of the new year!!

Same old, same old here. Looks like Trix decided to head back to her preferred 180s for AMBG. At least she is consistent and steady! We have our happy appy and snuggles and feistiness...and we got the gelcap down on the first try this morning Woohoo...we seem to be back on track! We also had a bonus Happy Crap Dash and a low-key but definitely-present Mannie Fuds Dance at breakfast.

@Wendy - To answer your question in last night's condo...I haven't re-tried pill pockets with her. She developed such a strong aversion to them when she was sick last spring Now that she gets 3-4 pills every morning and 2 pills every night, I'm afraid she might get part way through the pilling process and decide she doesn't want anymore more Pill Pockets, or that she'll cheek the actual pills. So I'll stick with the gelcaps...as much as I hate doing them, it does give me peace of mind knowing that all the pills really have gone down.

I also use the gelcaps since Simon has so many pills. He also developed an aversion to the pill pockets and refuses to eat them. Fortunately, he is a champ at swallowing the gelcap and I hope that Trixie will also get used to them soon.
 
Trix has been on the gelcaps since April. She's pretty good at swallowing them....as long as I get it in the right spot. At this point, 99% of the time they do go down on the first or second attempt, but when things go awry, they go awry, like yesterday when she started hissing and growling and swatting....took almost 45 minutes to convince her. Fortunately that doesn't happen all that often, though.

Yikes on the number of pills - I can see why you'd use a gelcap. With acros you are supposed to be a little careful with pilling (soft tissue growth) so I always prefer something chewable or that I can squirt.
 
Another "hole in one" with the gelcap this evening...wahoo! I think she likes to give me a hard time once in a while (like she did yesterday) as a gentle reminder as to who is REALLY in charge of this gig. Thankfully she goes easy on me most of the time :joyful:!

Yay for the holes in one and :D what a great start to the new year. And Trixie got to remind you who's boss yesterday which I'm sure she secretly enjoyed :woot:
