Hey Mocha, Come on down from that pink floor. Pink isn't as pretty as blue, you know. See you later at Frip's party!

"Get up Mom, get up Mom, don't you know we're starving?"
Good morning Devon, don't you just love when they interact with you in the morning? :-D Checkers loves to rub on my hair. Gotta make sure everone knows whose possession I am.
Mocha just has to let you know who's boss, with those morning pinks. She'll be down again to prettier numbers today.

Re: 1/4 mocha amps 367

Good morning, Devon, I hope mocha decides to come down off the pink floor soon. Glad to hear she's feeling good, she wants to play.....silly kitty, she couldn't wait for you to get up!

mocha is surfing pinks tonight I guess so we are going with the flow and won't be testing tonight at her +6 snack.

OT, civvie twix has once again sprung an ulcer on her upper lip. Just noticed it tonight and it isn't horrible, but we are going to call the vet to try and get her in as soon as we can. We have been doing the depomedrol shots because we could never get her to take a pill, that is, until we discovered pill pockets and she took a weeks worth of antibiotics not to long ago (a month?) Anyways, if we can get her a pill form (generally cheaper) what is the advantage/disadvantage other then price of using pill versus shot steroid? Im ALWAYS afraid of twix becoming diabetic but she can't live with these sores either. Thanks for any help!

Devon, I'm not any help with that question, just thought I would suggest a post on health...maybe you can get additional experienced eyes there.

Pill pockets are great, aren't they? I HATE pilling, I'm terrible at it!

Devon, are those the rodent ulcers?? I dont know much about them, because Moonie has that feline acne, guess they are related--
Glad you called vet--Think there is a med for it that maybe all you need--God, theses Babies are so fragile!!
Get some well deserved sleep--Twix will be just fine--HUGS from Us!

the only issue I would ask the vet about relates to how long a course of steroids for the ulcers would be. If you have to give steroids for an extended period, Twix have to be slowly tapered off. It sounds like the shot is given once. Other than that, I don't know what the other pros and cons would be.
