Good afternoon LL, so sorry to be late in getting Zener's condo up - it's been a crazy morning with puking from Zener and feeling crummy from me. Liz had her hands full!

I guess we should have seen this stinky puke coming as his appy was decreased yesterday and we were working hard to get him to eat. He puts his mouth in the bowl and just sits there not eating, like he wants to but just can't. Sure signs of nausea in Zener. Then, this morning he eats a pretty large first breffis and pukes, not just a scarf and barf.

We have a call in to our vet to ask about resuming an anti-nausea med. We used the Cerenia injections before when he was not eating at all. So, will ask if she would suggest the Cerenia again or Ondansetron. Starting to wonder if the tummy upset seems to follow runs of high numbers?

Despite our crazy morning, Zener's numbers are looking much better and into blue!

We are sorry to be so absent from visiting condos right now. Hopefully all will settle soon and we will get caught up with visits!

Poor Zener-man. I hope his tummy feels better soon! Even pretty numbers lose their glow when kitty is pukey.

Poor Zener! Healing vines for Zener's tummy. Hope it settles down and he is able to get a full belly. Anti-nausea meds would probably be a good idea. Nice numbers today even with the pukies.

Hope Anne is feeling better! Healing vines to Zener & Anne that they both are 100% soon. A big glass of wine to Liz to get her through until they do! :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Zener seems to be feeling a little bit better later in this cycle.

@Linda - yes, the nice numbers lose their glow when puke behavior, hard to tell what is the dose and what is the lack of food! Fortunately, his appy picked up a little but only for the medium carb food. :roll:

@Rosalie - nice numbers do help. We were a little panicked he might stop eating after the last episode of this behavior. :shock:

@Melissa & Mr T - we are waiting on a phone call from our vet about adding back an anti-nausea med. The reglan is mostly for motility and he is still on that one. It is nice to see blue instead of those awful colors! I am gradually on the mend and I will suggest wine to Liz tonight! ;-)

So sorry to hear Zener is still not feeling well; it's a worry especially with the poor appy. I hope the Vet gives something to help with the nausea. Sending feel better vines for Zener. Hugs to you and Anne.

Great numbers!! I hope Zener starts feeling better. Has Pepsid helped any?

Zener is feeling better tonight and asked for food. :-D Had to go back up to the MC foods today to get him to eat, so will gradually try to decrease again depending on how he is eating.

Having not yet had a call back from our vet, I called the clinic this afternoon. Also, wanted to ask about anti-nausea meds which we had not left as a message yesterday. The receptionist told us the reason the vet had not called was that she was out sick, and on the phone sounded a lot like me - must be my lovely Kermit the frog croaking voice. ;-) She advised us to bring Zener in right away if he was not eating and I reassured her he was eating again and it was not an emergency. We sure like the new place we are going to - they are very watchful for how Zener is doing. :-D

@Ann & Maggie - we worry the most about his poor appy. Seems he is rebounding from the morning pukus, thank goodness! Hopefully, our vet will be feeling better tomorrow and we can chat about anti-nausea options.

@Sienne - we love seeing Zener in blues! Of course, once we see the blues, we want the greens! ;-) He is feeling better this evening. We have been giving him pepcid regularly once a day along with the reglan for motility. He did not want to eat his pepcid this am, so Liz gave it to him with pill gun followed by a small amount of water through a syringe. It does seem to help! Perhaps we should consider twice a day when he has these episodes of vomiting?

Shortly after Zener's AM puke, Liz saw him in the backyard eating grass. We've had warmer than usual weather and there are a few spots with some grass. When he came inside he had a blade of grass stuck to his lip! Very cute.

I seem to be on the mend, will stay home one more day. The kitties love it! Hope everyone has a good evening in LL!

So sorry for the tummy upsets for Zener - I hope things are better now. and for Anne too. There sure were alot of great numbers though today. So much blue Zener! Feel better vines from Mannie and I for every one!

Not too much of a food spike at +1 considering he is eating the MC foods, so paws crossed we see some more lovely colors later.

@Michelle & Mannie - thanks for all the good wishes, we are both feeling better tonight! :-D

@Christie - We are both on the mend, thanks for crossing fingers and paws for us. :lol:
 
Wow...y'all certainly don't have it easy there, do you?!! I sure hope Zener's tummy settles down and he starts wanting to eat some low carb again. I hope you start feeing better too, Anne!! I hope Liz doesn't come down with something!!
