I made it through a crazy week at work and can breathe a little today. I didn't get to check condos yesterday or post Simon's numbers, but he bounced during the day to yellow and then pink but he is now back down. He once again did his crying thing at 5:30 AM. I think he wants to go downstairs, but I have a baby gate up in our room so Missy can't get in and eat all of Simon's food in the automatic feeder overnight. Once I open it, he calms down and I can get back to sleep. I wish Missy and Simon could both be with us at night, but Missy always knocks Simon out of the way to get to the food. I have never seen a more food obsessed kitty in my life!

Happy Saturday everyone. I am off to do my weekly stint at the no-kill cat shelter.

Oh I know the crazy work weeks well! What a beautiful start for Simon today! I would love to be able to volunteer at a shelter, but I would fear wanting to bring them all home with me every week and Skooter would soooooooooooo not be amused.....

Carla, unfortunately it does look like he is bouncing again like yesterday.

Liz, you made me laugh so much with your comment about Missy being in a tub of butter. You are exactly right. She could live on her flab for weeks in the desert!

Molly, it is very hard working at the shelter because I get so attached to the kitties I take care of, but I just have to keep reminding myself that Simon was tolerant of Missy when I brought her home and now really likes her, but I don't think another will amuse him at all.
 
Wrong way, Simon!!!! No bouncing!!!

I would have such a hard time working in a shelter, too. Trixie was our one attempt at fostering...it's been over 10 years now :joyful:!!

Oh dear, Simon is bouncing so high. I am going to give him a little bupe tonight to see if that may help. His arthritis is really bothering him and it may be the cause of the high numbers
