Ming had some high blues last night.

I really hope weaning off of the pred helps Ming’s numbers. It’s disappointing because we’ll get some cool numbers and then we don’t see them again until an increase.

Blaaaaah

Work has been mightily frustrating these two days because of a certain breed of dog :rolleyes: Not to offend Frenchie lovers but.... I had to meditate in my head or I was going to lose it. I was really PO because it’s just ridiculous. They’re really strong ans also scream bloody murder if you even walk past them in a kennel. Also there’s the fear they can’t breathe when you have to restrain them for things but at the same time they want to bite you and headbutt you. The Frenchie this morning body slammed the wall when we were bringing him through the door.

I have to remind myself that the vet is very scary for an animal but it’s getting awfully hard to empathize lol :banghead:

PMPS = 277

Alrighty Ming, let's do this!

I might increase on Sunday and not tomorrow because I have a Chinese New Year dinner to attend tomorrow night but we'll see what happens with Ming tonight :)

OK, for some reason I'm hungry now. Going anyplace special for dinner?

Haha! We always go to the same Chinese restaurant (it has dim sum in the day time) for special events/holidays across from ICBC. And we have dishes like Peking duck, crab, steamed fish, free range chicken (i don't know what it's called in English but that's the direct translation lol), fried rice, and mango tapioca pudding. Hoping my dad splurges and lets us have fried crab/shrimp balls tomorrow night :smuggrin:

Facebook informed me that today, 4 years ago, was when I got the go ahead from the shelter to adopt Ming!!!

Here he is at the shelter:

Not sure why his butt was shaved. I only asked a volunteer and they didn't know why. Maybe he had mats on his butt or something. He was found wandering around London Drugs the November before I saw him in January.

I went to the shelter 1-2 times a week in the month of January to make sure Ming was still there while I convinced my mom to let me adopt Ming. I even wrote a letter to my parents detailing how I was going to take care of a cat and how he was 100% my responsibility.

My mom did NOT like Ming when she first saw him. She said he was fat, ugly, and dark. I almost gave up and thought, maybe I'm making a big mistake adopting Ming. But my dad disagreed with my mom and that was all it took for her to reluctantly let me hand in my application to adopt Ming.

Now my mom LOOOOVES Ming. He's her "son" or "doll" (in Cantonese, when you say "zai zai", it can mean little son or little doll). She thinks he's beautiful and so well-behaved. It's so funny to remember my mom saying he's ugly and fat when she's so in love with him now.

Little Ming doesn't know the chance he has.
