Happy Dreaded Lupita Friday   Our very deepest condolences today to Claudia. Fly Free Comet; you will once again be with your beloved Rocket. We are so very sad for Claudia and her DH. Sending vines to all others who need them. I know I have a lot of catching up to do.
Lupita came in today with a different approach to Gracie. She wore a a sweat jacket with a cheetah on it over her shirt thinking that perhaps Gracie would see her as being a "cat" lover. She did not get the response she expected    HISSSSS HISSSSS HISSSSSS PFFFFFTTTT!!! HOW DARE YOU BRING THAT BIG CAT IN HERE!!! THIS IS THE BABY'S HOUSE!!. And so it continued to the point that Lupita had to chuck the jacket     Back to square one. Before Lupita's arrival this morning, Gracie was in fine form running and playing with her toilet paper rings ...tossing them in the air, swatting them around. So despite neither of us getting much sleep last night, she has been very playful.
We're very happy that she is, so far, looking like she will hold this reduction. She's past the point where the depot from 0.8u could be dropping her into the 40s/50s. I did feed her a big helping of 12% at +6 last night because I HAD to get some sleep and Mike had to work today so he could not get up. She's in a bouncette right now but I'm hoping she will clear it shortly.
I don't know what I would have done without Mike this week. Talk about someone with fantastic karma....he sold himself short because he had that years and years ago before any of our cats had anything going on. It's been nonstop for me from early Tuesday through last night. I was up early, gone all day, and didn't get home any night until fairly late as I also had to do dinner with the whole group. Luckily, Mike as able to have dinner with us Wednesday night. But after he dealt with things all day long, I'd come home, be awake about 30 minutes, and then crash. Not good company for him but he has been terrific. I have some follow up work to do today but it shouldn't take me long and I can do it from here. It was a very successful week; we had some great meetings, great site visits; it all came off without a hitch so all my hard work really paid off.
Mike just has to work today and he will be home tonight and then he's on vacation until Feb 21
Tomorrow is his birthday
I leave Tuesday to see my mom and will be back next Sat night; he leaves the 12th to go to KY because his daughter (who I think of as mine, too) is having our granddaughter on Feb 14th. I really really wish I could go but it's not possible.
Thank you all a million times over for checking in this week and keeping him company and cheering him and Gracie on. Your friendship and support means more than you know. I will start catching back up with you all later today. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:
