Well, looks like Mr. Liver freaked out unnecessarily again.

I did feed Cobb a bit later that usual this morning. He seemed hungry, I was exhausted and the only way to pacify his was to give him a little food. All P's are in place.

Off to brave the roads. :-) Matt is from NY and finds it funny. He says he can drive in it because he's done it before but it's the other drivers that are going to either wreck him or get him stuck because you come to a sheet of ice ok the road and everyone slows down to the point where they can barely make it across instead of just maintaining their speed - which in turn makes Matt have to slow down and possibly not make it across. :? Every time it gets cold I'm told "I did not move down here for this!"

Anyway, stay warm out there! Healing vines to all who need them and extra snuggles to all!

Re: 1/31 Cobb AMPS 348 boing

Hi guys .. woah cobb, time to bring that number back down! No need to be that high .. Even if you driven on snow hundreds of time, it can always catch you off guard, better safe then sorry and stay off the roads if possible .. have a great weekend!

Good morning ~O)

In general as a kittys body becomes accustomed to a lower BG range it will ease up on it's counter-regulatory reactions, so that is a huge factor.

The insulin you are providing plays a part as well, depending on the time of nadir (peak action) relative to the timing of the counter regulatory hormones released into circulation.

Not that there is any way to time theses two events however keep in mind that there are likely times when the nadir comes along at a time when counter regulatory hormones in circulation are at their max and the dose is sufficient to take the edge off the bounce making it appear less severe. Or, nadir time/amount of insulin in circulation/amount of counter regulatory hormones in circulation could coincide just enough to make you think the bounce is clearing however in reality the 2 didn't line up so perfectly and as insulin action subsides the BGs climb again, leaving you wondering what the heck is going on.

Hi Suzanne and extra sweet Cobb!!!

Of course he could be bouncing! The 113 yesterday could have caused it, even though WE know it's a great number, Mr.L seems to have his own set of rules. I know you saw the other day when China had been mostly in greens and blues for 2 weeks and then, for whatever reason, bounced into stinky pinkies!

Come on back down Cobb! You're driving your mamabean crazy! (and yes, I know that's a big cat rule, but be a good kitty and come down anyway....lol)

I think I saw a picture of Cobb in the dictionary next to the word "unpredictable" the other day

Hope the rest of your Friday is a good one, and hope you guys don't get the ice we're getting this weekend! That's the last thing you guys need!

You have that dictionary too? I tried to show him the definition of "regulated" and "steady." I'm pretty sure he laughed at me!

Cobb saw green the 5th cycle following the previous increase.

The upcoming AM cycle will be the 5th following the current increase. . .

just sayin'

I hope he clears the bounce quickly and you see more blues and greens :-D

So you all are stuck in that deep freeze, too? So is my sister in SC. Hope you thaw soon.
