Yesterday's Condo

You just knew it wouldn't last, didn't you? I'm always late, for everything. So why should it be different with our condos? Sorry.

I guess in the future I should be more specific with my instructions to Cinco regarding his BGs. Who knew he would take me so darned literally? Definitely woke me up with that +4 this morning. Then, just when I thought it was safe to run to the store, he decided he wanted to try it again. Well, guess the dosecrease can wait. :joyful::D

Today was litter box changing day, so busy, busy. We're up to nine, now, due to Harvey's incarceration. We'll be back to eight once he's sprung and no longer has his own personal box. I took the opportunity to clean the entire cage, too, even though he'll only be in it two more days (YAY!!). I also took advantage of his being confined to give him his long overdue dose of Advantage Multi. I haven't treated any of the cats since fall. Sasha is still not getting her dose due to her ongoing skin irritation from the radiation, but Minka and Cinco got theirs, too.

Minka's appetite didn't improve today, even with a dose of Mirtz. do I'm getting ready to get out the syringe. I can't seem to find a flavor to tempt her, and I called a halt with five open cans on the counter and still no sale. Maybe the syringe will spark her like it did before. Paws crossed.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Caturday.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug: Prayer continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF & DH, Lisa's DF and Elise's DM.

Well, Cinco clearly let you know what he thinks about a dosecrease. I hope you have a easy night.

Way to keep your bean on her toes Cinco!! Nothing like a little dive to get those beans to wake up so they can spend more time with us! ~ China

The magic of the LL dosecrease threat is still working!!

Sure hope the syringe feeding gets Minka eating for you tonight! Come on girl...eat yer fuds!

I'm sure Harvey is counting the days to his parole from the joint! Does he have a little calendar on the wall with the days X'd out on it?...LOL

Cinco....loving green today!!! Yay except you didn't need to surprise your mamabean.

Wow...nine LBs! And I complain about four :joyful::joyful: I know you and Harvey both will be happy with the freedom from incarceration.

Eat Minka eat!!! I hope you don't have to syringe too much and she'll get started.

Big hugs to you and all four kitters, Tricia.

Jeepers, Cinco! Dosecrease threat worked I guess. Do you suppose his +4 was his way of saying..."I'll show you, mom!" ? :D

Thanks for stopping in, Elise, Chris, Jen and Marje. Cinco is taking it easy on me tonight. Minka, however...

I syringed about 6 mls before she signaled she was done. Funny thing is, she licked the top of the syringe, as if she liked it! I squirted a little on a plate, but she wasn't interested. I did get her to eat a little bit of Avoderm Salmon Consomme about an hour later. She is acting as if she feels pretty well - no more litter box 500. Just doesn't want to eat- well, she wants to eat, but doesn't like anything I've offered. Hopefully the AB is kicking in and she'll get her appy back. She usually responds better to the Mirtz.

Jen, I'm not sure exactly what his message was, other than "I don't want more jus!" Got it, Cinco.

Marje, I'm not sure why we have nine - I mean, when we had 5 cats we had seven. We had to add one when we had Kisa in the guest room during his final illness, and somehow that one stayed. Then this one for Harvey's cage... But we ARE going back to eight when Harvey gets paroled. Cleaning them isn't as bad since I started using liners. Before that I had to scrub them all, and it was murder on my back. My biggest complaint now is the difficulty finding the right size liner for each box. Since they were purchased over a period of 20 years, they are all different shapes and sizes. Do you know it's almost impossible to find one that is "medium" sized? Everyone has "large", "extra large", "jumbo" and "Giant". The upside of having so many is we very rarely have accidents outside the box (anti jinx!). Most often it's a dried turd that stuck to Minka's long hair and fell off!
:p

I bet the clavamox is further messing with Minka's appy. So many LL kitties lose their appies when on clavamox, and one of my civvies had only one dose and practically turned green...he wouldn't eat for a day after discontinuing it. My vetty only uses it as a last resort any more, because it is so hard on the kitties. That's why Trix is currently on amoxicillin instead of clavamox. Maybe talk to the vet to see if there is another drug they can use until the sensitivity comes back?? Sending appy vines along...
