I hope everyone had a great week. ;) The days with the boys have been good ones! We have been very busy, that part of life has not changed. Will it ever? ;) NOPE!! :):):)   I am so glad it hasn't! I often think back on the weeks happenings, and wonder how in the world did we do all that! :woot: It was the same this past week. We just seem to pick up and go each day, no questions asked, not by me or the boys, or the people I interact with on a daily basis. I am grateful for all those that help us on a dailt basis, including my local barista! Life is very good!

Swimming continues to be an integral part of my life, and the boys. I am grateful for this time, as it has become such a bonding experience for all of us. This week was much the same as last week, as far as our time in the pool went. They both love the time spent there, and will pick that when given alternative choices. So we continue to go, alternating pools between the Lynnwood Aquatic Center, and the Snohomish Aquatic Center. We are very fortunate to have such wonderful Aquatic facilities here too. I know it wrote this last week, but it is so true, in that it is so nice to see the evolution of pools that cater to families, with beach play areas, and large water slides, as well as the competitive side of swimming. William has taken to the water exceptionally well, having no issue with being under water at all. He has such a love for water slides. It will be fun when he can do the big tube slide at the Snohomish Pool. Nicholas continues to amaze me at every turn. He loves to lap swim, underwater, and does his version of that when the opportunity is there. He likes to swim the lazy river unassisted too, and made a couple of laps on that on his own. His all time fave thing? The big Blue Slide at the Snohomish Pool. It is hard to believe sometimes that he just turned 4 last month. I often wonder if he will stay with the pool as he continues to grow, or even become a competitive swimmer. No matter which path he may choose, it any, for right now, he is so at home there. It is a joy to watch him in the pool. I even got him to sit and watch part of a swim class last week, so maybe soon he will think lessons with other kids would be fun. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Night were our swim days this week. It is nice to be back to our regular pattern and set days.

Nicholas and William: Swim Buddies!

The boys and I continue to be very busy. Our weather has dictated alot of what we do, and even with that we still have great times. We have come up with a great list of indoor places, and this week we used them when we needed too, when the weather was questionable. Friday found us at the Pacific Science Center. It was cold and foggy ad who knew it the sun would show. so indoors it was. They both have such an interest in Science, and the things that inhabit our planet. We visited the butterflies, played with water indoor and out, and music, science games. We did manage some outdoor time this week, when the weather was at its best. Wednesday afternoon found us at Juanita Beach Park, Thursday afternoon at Bothell Landing Park. It was sunny and temps in the mid 50's. We all knew we had to be outside, with weather this nice. William is now so much more mobile that he can slide with Nicholas, chase him in the park, and walk the trails with him, cruise the water break and wade in the water at the beaches. He continues to hold his own too! We had to feed the duckies too! What fun that is. William is so funny. He knows that the food is for the ducks, but has to eat some of it too: a bite for them, a bite for him. :joyful: My DMIL is back in the rotation for helping me with William while Nicholas swims. YAY! We spent some time with Grammie Connie on Wednesday too. The boys have missed her, and are elated to have her helping again with their care on Wednesday mornings.

Mornings with the boys are such fun. :woot::joyful::eek::cool::rolleyes::smuggrin::woot:. seriously fun. I hope this never changes. Mellow and intense at the same time. How can that be so? But it is. The Friday Night Burger Feast with Nicholas has to be one of the highlights of the week. He looks forward to that every week, talks about it daily. Such a great one on one time with him. I hope to be able to do soemthig similar with William in the near future. Like last week, Nicholas had this past week wanted to take pictures. I have never refused him, instead give him my camera and let him go for it. He was into buildings this week. I love seeing things from a child's perspective. I think he did a great job. Just like last week tt was fun to listen to him in the back seat of my car, as we traveled, and he picked out buildings to take photos of. I kept hearing "Got it! Great Shot! I really like this one!" and my personal fave: "slow down Grammie! I need to take a picture!" so of course I did. I heard that several times this week. ;) Friday was his main photo shoot days. I find these road trips with the boys to be fun, whether or not Nicholas is taking pictures. The entertainment from that back seat is something else, never ever a dull moment! The Many Faces of Travel!!! :cool:Thursday was Seahawks football day at Nicholas's preschool. That was fun for him, he got to go to school decked out in his fave Seahawks gear. School spent some time talking foot ball and the big game.:cool: :):):) William was more interested in the flowers on one of the walls at Nicholas's school. He loves that flower wall, and has to visit it every time we pick Nicholas up from School.

For my own personal time, I have been hiking the local trails here when I can. I hope in the near future to have a day to visit the mountains and get in at east one snow hike before winter's end. Paws crossed. LOL, wrote that last week, still ahven;t made it. I had hoped to go Tuesday, but had things at home I had to take care of... maybe this week! I've been to Meadowdale shore and woods on Tuesday. It is such a nice alternative to mountain hiking, and will do, along with some other local lowland hikes, until the higher elevation stuff opens in the spring.

Normalcy in MusketeerVille :cat: :cat: :cat: The kitties are truly dong well. This from last week, but it continues to be true, on Elsa: Elsa continues to be Elsa. I worry about her more than I suppose I need too. I keep thinking she is 18, almost 19 in a few months. She seems to be doing well though. She still takes her outdoor rounds when the weather permits. Well heck, sometimes she goes too when it is raining. She eats well, has no LB issues, last BW was excellent, and can still jump from here to there, comes and cuddles every night. Life is good for her. Bug is Bug, such a mellow laid back dude. He so reminds me of Mannie. I swear Mannie sent him to me, he is so much like him. He has so many of Mannie's unique habits. I swear too that Mannie sent Lola, just to shake things up a bit. :) :banghead: :) She has been good lately, ever sine the Christmas tree came down. We've had a few plant issues, but overall, she too is becoming a bit more laid back. Well on some days.... I never did get her catio done, just ran out of funds and time. maybe this spring. I'd also like to build some climbing floor to ceiling trees for her too with access to cubby holes and top of cabinet type stuff. I know she, and Bug would love those. Lola has been back to her pounding on glass surfaces too. She had stopped for a while, but has renewed that activity with a vengeance it is so funny to watch her stand on her back legs, and pound on these surfaces with her front paws. AWESOME :woot: and bit noisy. Normalcy in MusketeerVille! :cat: :cat: :cat: sorry that is so repetitive, but old news, god old news maybe cans tand to be repeated....
and... for old times sake: Mannie 4.11.2011 I had tried for MONTHS to get a video of his fuds dance. That was such a hoot: he'd do these circles and figure eights and paw the table. the pattern was so fun: circle, circle, figure eight, circle, circle, another figure eight, paw paw paw paw, and repeat several times over until he was fed. Every-time I tried to get a video he'd start the circle and stop and soon as he knew I had camera.... darn cat! This video was about the best I ever got, only one circle....

Have a great Caturday everyone! Today has been catchup day here. Shopping and laundry done, some medicare issues to resolve for DH, and just being a little lazy. I hope to get out for a walk after I post this, for some fresh, though wet, air, and to exercise the legs some. It has been a day of dense fog since the start of the day. I wonder if it will even break today...

KITTIES!! Remember: BLUE, think GREEN :cat:
I

Hi Michelle--We all could have used a double shot of Elsa's 10-hour energy this foggy day!:rolleyes: That video of Mannie is extra special- what a pleasure to hear Mannie in his first "speaking" role!! :joyful::joyful::joyful: Hooray for Seahawk Thursday at Nicholas's school- and I am with William on loving that Flower Wall! :joyful::joyful: What a couple of cuties! ... Well, nothing to do now except wait for Game Time :nailbiting::nailbiting:- Go Hawks! :D:D:D

@Barb & Checkers (GA) Hey Barb! :):coffee: How are you???? THX on the boys, nd the pool. They really love the time they spend there. THX on the Mannie video. I don't think I over posted any if the fuds dance ones, simply becasue I could never get the entire dance. He just never cooperated! darn cat! :cat: And one of the few where he actually "Spoke"! :woot:

@Tiger and Ruth Hi Ruth! :):coffee: I so know on that coffee and that fog today. We never did get it to go away entirely. Did you? I did  get that coffee though.... THX too on the Mannie video. He was his first speaking role! I think most of the others I ever posted he just never said a meow, so so typical of him not too. I thought so too on Nichoals's school for doing a Seahawks day for the preschoolers. It was a fun day for him. Too funny on that flower wall huh. I thought his reaction to it is so cute. "hey it's me!" AND..... I so know on that nothing to do but wait for game time! :nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting: for sure! wow, sure would eb cool if they can repeat. GO HAWKS!

Morning Anne and Liz :coffee::coffee::coffee: Me TOO! I do regret not getting that fuds dance on video... it was such a classic Mannie thing. He alwyas knew though when the camera was pointing in his direction, response was always the same from him: "nope... not sharing!" silly cat! :)

I love the Mannie video. It is great to hear his meow. Even if you didn't get the complete fuds dance, at least you have something.

Great report on the fun & busy week again. Enjoy the game tonight.

GO HAWKS!!! Win or loose, here's to a great game today! :joyful:
and..... don't forget the K:cat:I:cat:T:cat:T:cat:E:cat:N B:cat:O:cat:W:cat:L!!!! :eek::cool::smuggrin::woot::woot::woot:

They are busy getting ready for.... uh.... I dunno! but there sure is a flurry of activity in the kitchen. OH!! WAIT!!! it is Super Bowl Sunday! No wonder all those pizzas look like footballs, and are blue and green! Amazing what you can do with blueberries and grapes. and well.... gotta root for the home team too ya know. So. well. anyways. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. For my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....... and orange drizzle! SWEET OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

Happy Sunday everyone. Here's to the grand daddy of the football games. I hope for a good, well played game. of course I want our own Seahawks to win but know too the the Patriots are such a good team. Should be a great game. I know where I will be at 3PM today.:cool::cool:

The weekend has been a load back one, busy , productive, but at a nice mellow pace. All is caught up from the week, and I even made a few walks over the past day and half. Saturday found me at Meadowdale Park, for what was basically a walk in the fog. That was so dense yesterday, never really did clear. This morning I decided to head on out early to Picnic Point, get a beach walk in before the rains, which are coming, arrived. That was nice too, as no one was there! SWEET! Made it home before the rains started.

Feline news!! My DD and DSIL, have adopted a new kitty, as of yesterday. Nicholas and William are pretty excited. Stella has arrived, to make their kitty kingdom of three cats. Stella joins Puma and Tristan. She is a 14 year old senior gal, brown tabby, with possible stage 1 CKD. She lived with her former owner for 9 years before being surrendered to the local shelter. I am not too sure why she was surrendered, but know she will have an excellent home with her kitty siblings, Puma and Tristan. Welcome Stella! And kudos to my daughter and son-in-law for taking in such a senior gal of 14. It warms my heart. Way too often a kitty at that age in rarely adopted. it's nice to think that she can live out her senior years in a very loving and caring home.

Stella, mellow, kind, and a gorgeous senior gal

Normalcy in MusketeerVille :cat::cat::cat: It is cool, drizzly and windy here now. All the kitties are snuggled up in warm places, including L ola, who has been bust chasing anything that moves today and alot that doesn't. Crazy cat.:rolleyes::woot:

Have a great day L&LL! Enjoy the game if you are watching. and.... GO KITTEN BOWL!

@carfurby Morning Carla :coffee::coffee::coffee: THX on the video. I did occur to me when I posted it that this really was the first time anyone ever heard him Meow. He was always the silent type, unless Fuds was involved. :) I agree too: at least I have some of the dance, even if it was just one circle. I can still remember the day when he was so into it that he got too close to the edge of the table and fell off.:smuggrin: He jumped right back up and carried on with his dancing. ;) THX on the rest! I am looking forward to the game. GO HAWKS!!! ;)

Michelle, that Mannie video is wonderful! I'd never seen it before, either. How eloquent he was! How insistent on getting fed! I love the look he's giving you!
Sounds like you had a really nice week with the boys. Are you all going to watch the Superbowl together? I can imagine how wound up everyone in Seattle must be. I'll be rooting for the Hawks, too!
Kudos to your DD and DSIL for adopting a senior kitty. What a lucky kitty Stella is!

Have a fun evening. Tomorrow will be a planning session on Rusty's radiators for the Full Snow Moon Party (which will take place at Camp Stu on Tuesday). Looks like we'll be getting a major snowstorm, too!

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) Hi Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee: THX on the video. I am sure that I never really posted any of those fuds videos... can't remember, only remember that I never could get the entire dance. Loved that dance! Oh yes on his insistence on getting fed. He was telling me t pout down that silly camera and feed him. LOL!!! :cat: Week was great thx! Yes on the game, but no get-togethers. Nobody here wants to travel! My youngest is working at his pizza store, it will be on overload there, hes been working since 6AM to get all ready, they expect a record volume day. We are just watching the game here at home. Works for me. :) and yes on Seattle!!! Town is going nuts, all the watering holes are packed,e tc. Heaven help us if we actually win! The city went nuts after last years win. :woot: THX too on Stella. I he she will be happy with them, I am sure she will. So nice to know at 14 she found a good home. and more s now for you????? wow! We are due for the usual rains.....

Rusty! We will be there! All set and ready to go! We all got new hats and scarves and mittens. We here it is very cold there.... ~~ Elsa

Michelle - I too loved that Mannie fuds dance video, or at least what you got. I really should video Neko doing hers. You must have such great memories looking at that one again. :bighug:

Great cat pics in today's condo. Elsa looks gorgeous, what a lovely tail on that one. And kudos to DD and DSIL for getting a gently used kitty. Stella looks like a stunner. Speaking of pics, the one of William kissing the flower wall is adorable! :)

GO HAWKS!!! You know where I'll be at 3 to day too. I've heard of people from Vancouver driving down to Seattle just to get into the atmosphere. Pubs here are having tailgate parties and hot dog BBQ's for patrons waiting in line ups to get in. Crazy times!!! I can't imagine what it's like in Seattle right now.

@Wendy&Neko Morning Wendy :coffee::coffee::coffee: THX on the video. It does bring back alot of memories. He did that dance every meal. such fun! And yes, get Neko on video! :) THX too on the pics. It is fun to be able to, once again, include some within the condo too, and ones that can be big enough that you can actually see some thing. ;) LOL! I think so too on my DD and family adopting a senior cat, gently used. I love that description. She is slowly adjusting to a new life, and seems happy there. She has her own space that she can retreat too when things get a bit overwhelming. They are spending alot of time with her, so she is adjusting. bummer on the game huh...:( so so hard to believe that here they are on the 1 yd line, with Lynch who is such a beast, and who happened to be wide open, and they elect to throw over the middle right into the Pats line instead. Interception, bye bye win, and omg.... they will regret that call for sometime to come. well, so goes football huh. such a heart-breaker. Congrats to the Patriots, it was such a well played game. I hope you guys enjoyed the game though, sounds like Vancouver was partying as well as the Seattle-ites. :joyful::cool:

Love the video, even though it's only a "partial" fuds dance....silly kitties, mine do the same thing when the camera comes out! Wonderful pics of the boys - that underwater shot is a classic!!! And it is SO wonderful that your DD and DSIL adopted a senior...what a lucky lady Stella is. I'm sure you're looking forward to another insanely busy week...have a great day, Michelle!

@Amy&TrixieCat Morning Amy :coffee::coffee::coffee: THX on the vid, and the photos. I must have 20+ vids of that partial fuds dance. Silly cat, always knew when the "camera was rolling". LOL! I too really liked that underwater shot of the boys, it will be even better when William is able to control more of what he does underwater. It is really fun stuff. I too am so happy that my DD & DSIL adopted Stella. We are not sure why she was surrendered. The shelter said if was becasue their son was allergic, and they might be moving, but we all suspect that the real reason was becasue she has early stage ckd, and the fmaily couldn't or didn't want to do what needs to be done. We will really never know for sure, but I am glad she is now in a home where she can be well cared for. Kudos to them! THX on the week! I am looking forward to it. Soon to start with a morning in the pool with the boys. YAY! :)
