Good morning,

Well, not sure what happened there.. 380 this morning..

Yes, the sky was dark and cloudy yesterday morning, and the wind blowing just enough to make the palm leaves move. I knew that meant that some real rain was coming. It was a first misty and foggy, like London, and then we got a few sprinkles around 2PM, but it was short lived, like only 5 minutes. The sky stayed dark all day. It was that light, sweet rain again at about 6 O'clock. I haven't watched the weather but have heard that we are going to get some rain over the next few days. Unfortunately we will need more than this amount over a longer period of time to free us of this drought.

I think one of those numbers is a little wonky this morning, really?? -- 208 AFTER eating his first meal of the day? :roll:

I did not have time to recheck. I have been having a very hard time getting blood from Rocky's ears for the past two days. Not sure what is going on, even using the larger gauge 30 lances.

My plan is to finally give him that bath to relieve him, and me, of some of that ring worm today.

30 gauge lancets aren't all that big. The higher the gauge, the smaller the "hole"...might try getting some 26-28 gauge...they're usually under "alternate site testing" lancets.

If your numbers are correct, that's a BIG drop from AMPS to +2 which is a good clue that you will need to test more often today. When that +2 is that big of a drop from the Pre-shot number, it usually means they're going down low, and it's important to watch them more carefully.

Also, when they have big drops like that, most cats will "bounce", even if their lowest number of the cycle doesn't go that low. Both low numbers AND fast drops can cause a bounce, so if Rocky is higher tonight, don't get discouraged. We'd expect that!

Slow'er down their Rocky boy! 417 ohmygod_smile Yikes :!: :!: All of this up and down reminds me of a yo-yo. Nothing consistent..

I gave him his first bath today with the shampoo from the vet for ring worm. So worried I'm going to get covered in it. Why can't I be immune to it right now? :roll: Iss does play a f tested him one hour later. I do wonder if stress plays a big factor in Rocky's bg readings. I'm pretty stressed out right now. Have been more than unhappy about a situation all day.
