Last Night's Condo

Look! It's still light out and here's a Cinco condo!

Cinco's numbers are trending higher lately, and I'm toying with the idea of a dosecrease if I don't see some green soon. Granted, the last green was four cycles ago, and he did hit the 50s. Maybe just the threat will help. Cinco, are you listening???? Cinco???

Sasha didn't look like she felt quite right this morning and only ate a couple bites of breakfast. I gave her some Cerenia, and ten minutes later she threw up! I didn't see the pill or gelcap in the debris field, so hopefully it stayed in her. I'll offer more food in a little while. Minka seemed interested in eating but didn't. Not sure if it was the selection or the usual "I don't like that flavor,Mom", but I'll try again when it's been over an hour since her Ond and Pepcid gelcap.

Harvey got out of his collar this morning. First time in a while. He was just laying on it, casually like, "collar? what collar? I don't see a collar!" Needless to say, it's back on again. His appy is, as it has been lately, stellar. Still no word on biopsy results. Patience pants are getting really, really tight.

No special plans today, although I REALLY need to tackle the mountain of filing that's sitting in Mark's office waiting for me. Darned credit card receipts and statements still haven't learned to reconcile and file themselves!:joyful:

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug: Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF & DH, Lisa's DF and extra strength ones to Elise's DM.

Happy Friday!!! :cat:

That's odd. I don't understand why he would shoot up like that at +6? I tested twice to be sure and got the exact same number (how often does that happen?). He had Dave's Chicken & Herring for breakfast, which is 3.5%, so I don't think it's the food. Cinco, a dosecrease threat is supposed to make you go DOWN, not UP!

Cinco! You are the easy kit. Remember that, o.k.

No clue about the goofy number. Anomalous enigma! (sounds pretty medical) Now, Cinco, back on track. Don't make us try to figure out hard stuff.

Hope your girls got their appy hats back on today. You are amazing with those food challenges. Time, girls, for you to do your part!

Harvey, you crack me up. Although, honestly it's probably more dignified to get the collar all the way off than just half way off. The tutu look just ... well ... isn't that dignified.

Vines, Tricia. For all you do. With grace. And good humor.

Marilyn and Polly

Sending appy vines for Sasha and Minka. I hope Cinco slides back down. Maybe he's just having an off day. LOL on Harvey. I hope you hear the results soon. You're doing great juggling everything. :bighug::bighug:

Okay, Cinco. Take the headphones OFF and listen: If no greens by the sixth cycle after the last green, up you go! Got it? And knock off that yellow stuff!

I gave him a sprig of catnip to play with after +6. He had fun, then passed out.

Was grumpy when I woke him for the +8, especially when he saw he wasn't getting food. o_O

Now Cinco, you're just being silly!! Stop playing around and pay attention to the dosecrease threat!!

I'm still debating giving China an extra drop, but figure it might be better for her to be a little higher until DM gets through all her doctor appointments

WHAT?? You woke him up and didn't feed him??? How cruel!!.....LOL

Hope the girls eat better for you tonight!

You might want to call about the biopsy results....with places as big and busy as they are, they may be sitting on somebody's desk getting shuffled around

It's time for Cinco, China, and Max to meet in the lagoon. Not to deep though. Remember the sharks. Really, Cinco. No reason to hang out in the yellow. Nothing good can come of it.

Thanks for the vines, Tricia. I'm sending a ton for Sasha and Minka too.

Sending continued appetite and healing vines for Sasha and Minka- healing vines for Harvey! Glad to hear you only go every other week for chemo now. Okay Cinco- mamabean's getting trigger happy!

ARGH! Who let that ugly color onto our spreadsheet??!!! :banghead::( Cinco, you get down from there this instant! You hear me? DOWN! Right now!!!!!

Sasha ate a big dinner with Forti Flora only added for the last few bites. :) Minka wouldn't eat breakfast, even after the tummy meds. I syringed about 8 mls of a/d. She ate a little boiled chicken this afternoon, and drank some broth. Just now she ate about 1/4 of her dinner (Fancy Feast), with me holding the plate. Better than nothing. If she hasn't eaten more by fluids time, I may syringe some more. I know the Oncologist didn't like the idea, but we've gotta keep the weight on her. Minka doesn't seem to mind it. Harvey is eating everything I'm giving him, although he still doesn't like the mini servings spread out. He's keeping it down, so we'll keep doing it.

Hope everyone is having a great Friday.

Cinco. Did you mis-read the dosecrease threat? You're supposed to go down, not up, silly boy! That is kind of a wonky looking cycle. Maybe it's some sort of odd high-before the break. Lucky boy getting a little stoned on catnip this afternoon followed by a nice long nap. Sounds nice.

How naughty-cute on Harvey getting out of his collar. I can just see him sitting there like "What?" Vines on their way for all your kitters, and for you Tricia.

Ugh on the pinks...sooooo not a boy color, Cinco!

I'm so glad Sasha ate this evening...what a relief! I'm not sure why the oncologist would object if you syringe Minka if she's not eating enough...she needs the calories! I syringed Trix for several months to supplement her last year until she finally caught on about eating enough "on her own" (yes, with me holding the plate, but still on her own!). IMO it is far more important to get them the nutrients they need and avoid hepatic lipidosis than it is to "worry" about whether or not they'll become dependant on the syringe. I think most of the time they eventually do remember that they need to eat, but they sometimes need a little help over a hurdle.

I hope you're having a relaxing evening, Tricia...you've earned it!

Cinco, REALLY!? That's one way to be the centre of attention, but I'm not sure the bean was kidding about the threat.

Looks like another opportunity for an adult beverage tonight. Enjoy your evening Tricia.

Thanks for the support, Chris, Jen, Amy and Wendy.

@Wendy&Neko, my life is full of opportunities for adult beverages! Luckily, we have a LOT of wine and a well-stocked bar. ;):joyful:

@Amy&TrixieCat, the oncologist said that they don't like syringe feeding because of the risk of the kitty aspirating the food and ending up with pneumonia. So how is it different if I shoot a liquid antibiotic into her mouth? Or shoot a pill down her throat? I don't squirt the food down her throat - I put it on her tongue. They also say it can cause a food aversion, but I'm using a/d, which she already wasn't too fond of, so I don't think that's an issue, either.
Minka has eaten almost all of her dinner. I didn't give her a lot, so I'm hoping she'll be ready for seconds later - she usually eats a little during fluids.

Dinner is in the oven, and I'm about ready to toss the salad. BBL.
