Hello, LL! Thanks for visiting us last night, Deborah and Tricia :razz: Tricia, I picked the freeze dried boar because it and the lamb are one protein ones, the other Orijen had mixed proteins in them and with Chynas allergies I wanted one protein. She eats lamb for fuds so I figured boar, I'm really not that adventurous :lol: . Also a hit was Wildside Salmon freeze dried treats that I ordered online .

Yesterday: Chyna 1/29

Looks like we cleared the bounce . Last night I felt like the worst bean ever :cry: . Subqs were ouchie no matter where I tried to poke and she kept crying and trying to leave despite treat offers, I think I got 40 of 50ml done and gave up. Then we had to clean her eyes, and brush her teeth. She was one PO'd cat. I brushed her to get her purring but she was still wagging her tail :sad: So I bawled. I'm so tierd and feel so frustrated! ohmygod_smile I only have a few hours in the evening for all this stuff plus my stuff like bills and dishes, there just isn't enough time in a day...

This morning Chyna jerked at the end of insulin, no smell tho. It seems I just can't do anything right! :evil: Then she ate a few bites of breffis and left, I moved the bowl, she ate a few bites and left. UGH. So I spoon fed her the rest. I put out an extra 1/8 can in case she ignored the autofeeder or something, and then went to do my hair (running late of course). When I walked by she'd eaten 3/4 of the extra fuds :roll: :lol: No poo yesterday, hopefully today. I don't know if she's feeling off, or I am, or both...I NEED to get to the weekend for days off. Sorry to be a downer

I hope that all kittehs are thinking in blues and greens today! Have a good one :smile:

Sounds like both our kitties read the same rulebook about keeping us beans confused.

It's so hard on us when there's no way to let them know that we're doing this to make them feel better! All you can do is the best you can, and know that you're helping her to live a longer and healthier life. Cats live pretty much "in the moment", so they aren't supposed to hold grudges (famous last words...lol)

Have a cup of on me (and don't tell anyone that I snuck some Baileys in there :lol:

I've been asking for Friday since Tuesday...sure seems like the weekend is still a long way away!!

Some days it seems like nothing goes right. Just remember it's one day. You're doing your best for Chyna and she's happier and healthier because of you. She still loves you even when she gets mad at you. I hope she slides down today and this evening goes better. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

It'll get easier. We all go through rough times with our kitties, and then it gets easier the next day. Just remember to breathe, be calm, and it'll come together. You're doing a wonderful job, and the best you can for Chyna. :YMHUG:

Buster has kinda been like that in the mornings, too. I never know when to be patient and let him eat "whenever" or when to shove it in his face :roll: You're a good bean. Better to be safe than sorry. Hope you see blues tonight!

(((Rachel))) We all have days when it seems like nothing is going right. At least Chyna seems to be heading down to some nice yellows today. And it's just one more day to the weekend.

I thought you chose the wild boar because it's raised in Alberta. ;-)

Thanks guys, looking like a mostly flat yellow today...sorry I'm so down today, I'm trying to cheer up! She ate all her morning fuds while I was gone, and ignored the lunch after a few bites, but I left it be since she wasn't diving :roll:

I should do a dosecrease tonight, but think I will give her one more cycle and increase tomorrow...one reason is I want to see where she may go tonight, and another, especially since she seems to "kick in" on cycle 3 or 4 of dosecreases, that will be Saturday and I'll be home She does like to take her time. She'll probably read this now, and change it up...I thought we'd be "there" by now, at 5u.

-Chris, thanks. She doesn't hold grudges, usually not for long anyways ;-) Can you make it mostly baileys and a splash of coffee? :lol:
-Carla, it sure has been a rough couple days, thanks for the encouragement . I hope in her mind she knows how much I am trying!

-Tara, I hope for blues tonight too, thanks! I have a hard time leaving for work until she's eaten a mini meal at least...gotta have some fuds in there! She has the autofeeder after that...I'm more patient when I'm home...she is a grazer and likes to go back later for some and I want her to eat it all :roll:
-Wendy, yep, one more day till the weekend! Thanks. Good point on the boar, lol. She reallllly likes it. Over the salmon :shock: It seems to be a week of nothing going right, and no time to do anything around the house ohmygod_smile

One more hour till freedom. I've been trying to catch pee for 2 days...maybe tonight!

Aw, Rachel, I'm sorry you've had a rough couple days :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: . I hope you're having a better night tonight...some Bailey's could really help ;-) !!!

Trix takes some time to settle into doses, too...I have often have to double-check my patience pants before I jump the gun with a dosecrease. FD can be so frustrating sometimes, and we just want to make it better - which makes it hard to remember that we aren't in charge, they are.

I'm glad Chyna doesn't hold a grudge! I'm sure she knows you're doing everything out of love for her.

The weekend is almost here!!!

Thanks Amy, tonight went ok, no Baileys though...maybe tomorrow haha ;-) . I'm not sure what the heck is going on with these BGs tonight...yellow day, down to blue PMPS then flat yellow so far :roll: I guess a dosecrease is on for the morning...unless we have a surprize AMPS.

Hi Rachel:

I haven't been online all day, but wanted to chime in with some encouragement. You are a WONDERFUL mama bean, and Chyna is so lucky to have you looking after and loving her. Her numbers may not be what you want, but they are safe numbers, and you can get some sleep tonight. Tomorrow will be a better day, if only because it's Friday! Hang in there. We've all been there, and many of us will be again (and again, and again... :lol: ).
