Morning! Well, last night at PM+8 I opted for a slightly higher carb (medium carb) snack for Cargo and it does seem to have slightly lowered his AMPS. Or that could have just been chance. So hard to know! Will keep experimenting with the snack.

@JaxBenji I was actually wondering about that! What feeder do you use and how might it work in a multicat household? Because right now I've been setting an alarm for 2am but that's not very sustainable...

@tiffmaxee I fed him one of Merrick's higher carb wet foods, maybe around 8-10%. It just happened to be in the rotation. I need to be paying closer attention to his carb intake and affects.

I use the Cat Mate C500 - It has 5 compartments (1 open and 4 hidden) and ice packs. I ordered right from the manufacturer (link here) but you can get it on Amazon. I also have the PetSafe5 but much prefer the Cat Mate (PetSafe uses 4D batteries making is heavyyyy and it doesn't keep all compartments cool...it has a spot for an ice pack - not included in purchase - which is only for the open spot (and doesn't make sense to me since there's no need to keep that spot cool but oh well)).

I have two cats - my civvie Benji really doesn't care about Jax's auto-feeder? IDK. He's not as food oriented as Jax. I also separate the two kitties at night so Jax can have his auto-feeder and Benji has his bowl of nighttime food (else Jax would eat Benji's food).

Thank you @JaxBenji I will look into that! My problem is that my civvie Tarmac is SUPER food oriented - acts more like a sugar cat than Cargo but I test him occasionally and he's negative. So I would have to separate them as well. Something to think about!
