Hello all!

Ben continues to feel well! We rechecked his Thyroid level today - he was in the "grey zone" 6 weeks ago. Happy to report his labwork was ALL perfect! His BG at Antech was 138, and Fructosamine was 294 - excellent! I actually drew his blood at home by MYSELF - he is one of the most tolerant kitties I've ever had the pleasure of meeting!

My question is about meters. Due to the difficulty in finding test strips for the ReliOn Micro, and the cost, we've purchased a ReliOn Prime, and have been using both for the past two weeks. I know that there tends to be a difference in meters, but sometimes the numbers seem super different! I just used my last Micro test strip this evening, but the +9 was taken on the Prime at 105 (my GF didn't check on both meters), and at PMPS I got 122 on the Prime and 90 on the Micro - that seems like a big variance!? Is this pretty normal? I'm just curious if people have noticed the Prime reading quite a bit higher - is it going to cause issues in keeping Ben regulated?

Darwin and our civvie, Maddie, both seem to be feeling very good, so we're all happy campers at the moment!

Sending vines to all the kitties and beans in need! :bighug:

Great news on Ben's b/w!

I have heard the Prime reads higher, but haven't seen by how much. If you like the Micro, have you thought about getting the Arkray Glucocard 01 from ADW? Same manufacturer, basically the same meter.
