Been absent all day! Tested when I popped by the house, but then back out. Posted from my phone. Taffy did not go low today. Little snacks all day. He seemed a little blah today, but he is eating.

Mainly trying to get Baby Kitty to eat. He will nibble. He has had Cerenia and Bupe. More bupe tonight I think. His belly feels so hard. Searched for two hours for my slim Terumo needles so I don't have to use the horse needles from the vet. Working up the nerve to try subQs on Baby. It has been a few years since I have done them and the cat that was my "patient" was a very tolerant cat. I have been syringing water to Baby, but I think he may need more help.

Thank you! Will definitely watch that now! I'm still stalling. My civ baby Kitty is such a sweet, delicate boy and I don't want to hurt him!

Taffy PMPS = 150 I was surprised by that number, which further proves that I have no idea how to predict what may happen on any given day.

@Marje and Gracie , I just watched your great video on fluids as a refresher. Question: Someone else poked the set into the bag before they gave it to me and somewhere along the line, the reservoir part (where you can watch the drip) got filled all the way. Is there a way to get air space in there again so that I can see the rate of flow again?

If you squeeze the little reservoir, it should empty it some. But I'd do it without the needle in the cat
