Yesterday was a great day for Muffin. I thought we had finally found the proper dose to keep her in decent numbers....until that amps this morning. I'm kinda baffled - Muffin is usually very consistent. Nothing was left out last night that Muffin could have gotten into. I swear she's decided to start bouncing for the first time in her life. Very strange. She came willingly for test, shot, and meds this morning, but she did flinch a tiny bit on the shot. Not enough to make me miss. She was lovey and rolling around on the floor. She's only getting pred once a day now, which was supposed to start yesterday, but I accidently gave it twice yesterday. :oops:

+2 438. Caught her a half hour ago drinking the milk left in one of the girl's cereal bowls. :evil: :roll: ohmygod_smile She's never been much of a milk drinker, but apparently it will do in a pinch... cat(2)_steam cat(2)_steam

Hi Guys!! Sorry to see Muffin in such high numbers, especially after those nice numbers yesterday. The milk drinking may just be because she is thirsty from those higher numbers. I hope those numbers start to come down nicely....and hopefully it is a bounce....even if she's never had them before, it would be nice to have a reason for the numbers

Hi Anne & Muffin,

They say that you can't really compare how a kitty reacts now to how she was the last time she was on the juice. So don't fret about it too much. Just hang in there and try to stay on top of it all.

Sorry to hear that Muffin is bouncing, but not really surprising w/ the change in numbers yesterday. I hope Mr.L was just caught off guard and will setle back down.

Well drat, looks like Mr. Liver is back in first grade in liver training school. Hope he progresses quickly.

+5 428. On the bright side of things, she's surfing...but in the reds, Muffin, really? I've heard that they might react differently each time on insulin, it just seems like a big difference for Mr L to suddenly want to join the party, when in the past it seems he could've cared less what Ms. P was doing. :lol:

Kibby and Shnookie got in a little fight yesterday - there were tufts of Kibby fur all over Shnookie's couch - and even stuck in his claws! I tried to examine Kibby for wounds, and I don't see anything where his fur is shaved, but since then he's been under the bed and in the bathroom cupboards a lot. He didn't come out for dinner until about 8pm last night. He's eating well today - on his third can so far... :roll: but he hasn't even asked to go outside. I talked to the vet to see if I should bring him in just so he can get a thorough examination. After everything he went thru, and then to find out it was all due to a cat fight in the first place...Dr said bring him in. They don't have any appts today until later this afternoon, and I have the girls from 330 on, so I made an appt for tomorrow morning. Kibby was also trying to throw up a hairball (I hope, and assume) yesterday, and I haven't seen any poop from him for a couple of days. He could've pooped when he was outside, but these 2 things are what I'm supposed to be watching for with regard to his surgery, so I think it's best he goes in.

Oh, poor Kibby. Paws crossed that it was just fur. Sheesh! not safe even in you own house, so mom might as well let you out, huh?

OH my goodness, Muffin, what are you doing up there? Ya know what Muffin? Checks loves the milk in the cereal bowl too. Not only is it yummy dairy, but sweet too. :smile: His bean yanks it away, as fast as yours did, I'm sure. :lol:

Hi Anne. Fingers crossed that Kibby is fine, and vet appt wasn't really necessary...It will put your mind at ease tho. :smile:

I hope Kibby is okay from the cat fight and everything goes well at the vetty tomorrow. Hopefully Muffin will come down for you soon.
 
pmps 321. Muffin spent part of her afternoon on DD's bed, so I think she's beginning to feel better. It was nice to see her back there. Tonight she's back down in the kitchen, actively asking for dinner #1 and #2 and hanging out with the heater.

I think tomorrow's vet appt for Kibby will be unnecessary, but I'll take him anyway. He's been out and about this afternoon and evening, he left me a very smelly prezzie in the LB this afternoon, and his appetite is definitely healthy.
 
Maybe the pred is having an effect on Muffin and causing her to bounce? I dunno but it sure doesnt look like Muffin. It is true that they can react to the insulin differently when they come back from the falls. I hope she will settle down soon for you. Glad she is feeling better and also glad Kibby seems better tonight.

And you? Are you holding up ok with the sore ribs bronchitis thing?
