January 2, 2019 Condo - Clean bill of health from vet, no UTI

Good morning all!
Status quo this morning, as usual. I was tempted to increase this morning, but I'll be good and wait until tonight. Today is his 6th cycle on 3.0u. It's still weird that he was deemed perfectly healthy, but we still haven't seen ANY fluctuations in his BGs. I think 227 was the lowest I've seen in ages. I think that's part of why I wanted to increase higher at least once. It seems like as soon as I might have an idea the new dose might work, he goes back up to the pinks. It's like his BGs are fighting against the insulin, which makes me wonder if it's simply glucose toxicity or his IAA.

I'll hope that his numbers start coming down, but feelings of hope have been waning away. He's had 3 increases during the 12 or so days his numbers have been staying high, about to have his 4th, and there has been almost no activity. The only blue he's seen seemed more from the shooting an hour early for Christmas than anything else, and then he went back up. Sigh. :(

I hope you all have a wonderful day and your kitties surf safely. Sending vines to all those kitties and beans and need, especially Mr. Jones (@Tracey&Jones) and Miss P (@Phoebes). :bighug::bighug::bighug:

You'll see lower numbers before you know it. Sometimes when you switch to Lev you see good numbers right away, but then have to go up in dose. Remember Lou is more than his numbers and he just got a clean bill of heatlh. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Well that's good to know. He's not anywhere in dose we're not used to. I'd just love to see SOME action. I'd probably cry at a blue at this point, haha. I do feel much better knowing he's healthy. Oddly enough, he seemed more himself yesterday, even before I brought him to the vet. He was playing with his toy and coming to me for attention. He surprisingly didn't pout too long after we came home and he even played a couple more times yesterday evening. I'd love if this next increase is the beginning of better things. I just hate what the continuous high numbers must be doing to him.

I went through the same thing with Olive. Switched to lev she came down in dose. Then started going up up up, then the caber started and down down down. Now back up up up. I don't know if we found the right combo for now but to be truthful yesterday and so far today I find it scary. This is not normal for her and I have no idea what to expect or how to plan.

It's one day at a time Amanda. Hang in there.

My heart always sings when Radar feels good enough to play. He hasn't really played in a long time. So I say enjoy the playing and try not to worry too much about the numbers. I know it's hard but you have to think about the whole cat not just the numbers. Hang in there. :bighug::bighug: You'll see some movement when you least expect it. At least that's how it always works at my house.
