Good Morning LL,

Not too bad of an AMPS for Mr Leo. New diet is going well too, I thought for sure he would be meowing all night for fuds but he didn't. We had a good test, shoot and feed. The great part of Leo dieting is that he's pretty grateful for any/all food and the fussiness is gone, no more having to open 18 cans of food just to get him to eat :-D

Not much on the agenda for us today, besides cuddles and hugs. Have a great Tuesday all!

Good luck with the diet for Leo. I seem to remember WW :lol: I used to have umpteenth cans of fuds for Mags also; now she's on one flavor.
Sounds like a nice day with cuddles and hugs.

Sounds like a lovely day is in the works for you guys! Great news that Day 2 of the diet is going well! 19lbs...he's a big boy :lol: ! Mario topped the scales at 18lbs in his prime...the vet wasn't happy with us. We did manage to slowly get him down to a healthier 15lbs, and the vet was surprised at our success. Now, of course, Mario is HyperT so I'm trying to get him to GAIN weight...

Anywho...have a wonderful day of cuddles and hugs!

How great he is being good about the new diet. Leo is taking his new Year's resolutions seriously.

BTW you link just goes back to the board, I think you missed part of it.

Go Leo - how wonderful that Leo has taken to his new diet. Even better that he isn't going through can after can looking for the right one. :shock: :cool: :cool:

So glad the new diet is going well for the big guy. Isn't it funny how unfussy they become when they have to wait for it? Tarragon is the same way.

Diet not going so well today. Leo is at the brink of starvation despite me feeding him 1 1/2 cans of FF!

He is laying beside me on the couch fartin up a storm! Gross, they are stinky kitty farts too. :roll:

I've found that my cats will pretty much eat ANYTHING if I sprinkle FortiFlora on it or the Halo Luv a littles chicken dusts...

My poor baby just got his 'thumb' claw stuck in the carpet. He was crying, hissing, growling, and biting me. I tried everything to get him out. I was about to cut the carpet to get him free when I thought I'd try turning him around and got bit and scratched in the process. He finally relaxed his claws a bit and got himself loose. Poor Leo. He's fine now, his pride might still be hurting, he must have felt bad for attacking me because he was loving me up afterwards.

At least Leo's numbers are looking better now than his AMPS!! Good luck with the kitty diet. Champ weighed 21 pounds before FD and by the time he was diagnosed was down to 15 pounds. He's now back up to just under 18 pounds, but needs to get down to 14-15 pounds to be at his ideal weight. When I was feeding Champ FF, he got 2 three-ounce cans per day at the most plus one snack per cycle of 0.5 ounce of chicken breast. He never lost weight with this amount of food, even though it doesn't seem like it was that much. I started looking at the food lists to find out which foods were the lowest in carbs AND calories so I could give him the same amount of food, but he would get less calories. He was able to lose a tiny bit, but only a couple ounces. Now that he's eating homemade raw, he gets to eat more and is losing a little bit of weight. I really need to cut down the amount I'm feeding so he'll lose more, but it's hard to have a hungry kitty. They can be so persistently LOUD!!! And usually pick a time when you're sleeping to let you know how hungry they are!! Good luck!!! And keep us posted on how he does. I added a column on Champ's SS to post his weight, though I seldom weigh him (maybe if I don't know how much he weighs, I won't feel so guilty!!).

Well, for the most part I hope your day of cuddles and hugs worked out- sorry to hear about the farty part. :lol: :lol: And, yikes on the stuck claw!! I hope you're OK. They never seem to understand through their panic that we're trying to HELP them. I remember once Jetta got stuck in the handles of a paper shopping bag and I suffered some serious wounds freeing her (not to mention she dumped her anal glands on me) Be glad you were spared that. :shock:
