Good Tuesday Morning LL,

Our food steering trial began this morning. That AMPS seemed to tell me Jetta was clearing (or had cleared) her bounce. That usually means a fast dive, so I fed 8%- Wellness Core- she ate about 2 oz over 1.5 hours. I'm really curious to see what her +2 looks like. And, the civvies (except Ranger) liked it also. Ranger is my struggle on the wet food conversion. He's 9 and only ever eaten dry, so he's been resistant and he was NOT impressed with the wellness core. Silly guy.

I'm back to work today and this new year is shaping up to be a really busy one. I've taken on a few new roles and am busier than ever. Wishing the best for all beans who are headed back to tbp today and helaing vines for all ailing or struggling kitties and beans.

Crimeny!!!!!!! I can't believe 8% had NO effect. wow.

Anyone have thoughts on what I should pull out now? I've got 10%, 11%, 15% and 18% in my toolkit...

ETA- switched to 15% at +2.25.

Your prediction of diving behavior was right on target! You don't know that the 8% didn't have any effect but, wow, that is a dive. Surf's up, Jetta. Have a good day, Jac.

Hi guys .. that is a pretty steep dive after 8% .. but looks like she has a nice little surf going on now .. keep it right there Jetta! have a great day guys!

It looked like she was headed off the cliff there for a while, but she seems to have found her way, with your help. Good steering.

I hope your work challenges are the rewarding kind.

Phew...looks like you steered her in the right direction after that dive! Looks like a bit more experimentation is in your future, but I'm positive you'll hit the magic combination!

Looks like Jetta will be getting the GOOD stuff for breffis, Leo would be so jealous! Will you try the FF elegant medleys? Those are Leo's favorite. Good luck with the fuds experiment.

you asked about switching to levemir. it's always an option. some cats do better on one insulin than another. how much lantus do you have left?

Well, this PMPS adds to my confusion. I wonder if it's pure bounce or partially food influenced? I wonder if I over-carbed at +2? Who knows. I know I just have to keep playing with all the variables. I stayed with LC 4% at PMPS since she doesn't normally dive 2 cycles in a row, especially not from this PS number.

Although I just got a new Lantus vial last week, DH keeps asking me if we are on the wrong insulin. I keep telling him she's just a cat. And we need to give it more time. I don't think they make patience pants his size, but I need to look for some. :lol:

Thanks to all who stopped by today. I appreciate all the pats on the back as I try to find a balance for my crazy kitty.
