Good morning to all. Our thoughts, prayers, and healing vines are focused on Rocket and Ralphie today and we hope that Copper is also better. We are thinking of you, Claudia and Deb, and hope the support of your friends here in LL will provide you with some comfort. Prayers that vetty visits will be possible today and answers gained.

WCR: 4Ps in place. I was going to let her sleep in until right before her PS time but she got up when the civvies and I did. She had alot of nice numbers yesterday but we had to work really hard to keep her up and she still fell below 40 once. We are not sure if this number today is due to the low numbers yesterday or the carbs we had to give her to keep her up or both but it is what it is. We hope she will soon settle back down and that she can find some nice stability at this dose. Her hair is finally completely returning to her ears and she has stopped scratching them; the NRT vet determined that it was the shrimp in the Merrick's Surf and Turf that was the culprit. Luckily, I had suspected one of the Merrick foods and had stopped them; and now the Surf/Turf is really not high enough in carbs to help her drops so it's no loss. Our Gracie is a wonder girl....so sweet and happy no matter what but esp when she's getting gravy. Back on the regular calories today, baby girl!

Have a wonderful day. We are taking down the decos and may run out to a movie if Gracie's numbers don't drop.

Thanks, CD. We're hanging in there. We're still both on staycation for another week so that helps. We're also dealing mentally with the roller coaster better although this number was not expected.

Wow I didn't expect that number. Could allergies cause them preshot numbers too?

Wishing she decides to surf stress free for you two today so you can relax a bit more on your staycation.

Ouch on the 470 - a page out of Mannie's play book from last week. Probably just a bounce from al those low numebrs yesterday. She will clear it soon, I am sure. I hope the new dose works for her, and that it doesn't take too long for it to settle. Awfully nice stuff yesterday.

Karrie: I hear you. I think we have the allergies under control....I think she is just in a really bad bounce but I always appreciate thoughts.

Michelle and Barb: it's confusing isn't it when they give us so many great cycles and then BAM!! I have no idea if that number could be influenced by the HC/karo we had to give her but if it is, then hopefully she'll come down soon. Oh my bouncey baby!!!

A whole week more of staycation! How great for you guys! I hope you get to the movies today, I think your brains could use some Gracie-free time (no offense sweet baby Gracie) ;-)

Hi everyone....thanks for visiting while we were out. Went to see True Grit...very good. Glad to see Gracie coming down while we were gone. Hoping to see Mannie come UP....geez Mannie!!! Just a little more juice and you go wild!! We hope everyone had a great day.

Looks like bounce is breaking....I did shoot a dropping number but we are standing by ready to give a little extra carbs at +.5.

I liked True Grit, as well. Much better start for a cycle than this morning. I'm voting for smooth sailing vs. a bumpy ride.

Libby...we are trying something different tonight per Carolyn's suggestion. We gave her a little extra regular food and also a drop of karo at +1; will feed her more at +1.5 with drop karo; because she cleared that 470 so fast, Mike and I think that was more indicative of too many carbs that built up in her system last night while he was trying to steer her. We don't want that so we're trying a different way to control this drop. In the past, we've tried 12-14% gravy with her food and it hasn't worked so....I think overall she'll get less carbs using a little karo and she'll clear it sooner. Gotta find a way to control her dives.

She was dropping quite a bit by PMPS so it looks like the karo has curtailed that a bit; I told Mike probably what will happen is it will just push the huge drop towards her nadir and I ain't laughing right now :lol: :lol: ..ok maybe I am but it would be just like Gracie. So we gave a bit of karo through her huge drop time and now we'll let off and see what she does at +3 with no karo at +2. We may have blown a nice blue surf but we have to try somehow to get these drops under control.

Michelle...we'll be up a bit watching the Mannie show. You're doing great!

Moonie had a yellow cycle tonite also!! Hope you get to where you want with the feeding! Tomorrow will be better--Yellow cycle is usually followed by nice blues & green-

That's the idea of food manipulation, flatten the curve and then worry about lowering numbers. You are getting there. :-D
 
Ann....experiment may need some refinement.....we may have slowed her a bit too much but hopefully she will get to some blue tonight and we're so happy she broke the bounce and didn't tumble again. Hopefully, we can tweak in the morning (e.g. one drop karo at 1.5 where she usually bombs down) and have a beautiful day tomorrow.
Time to go ni ni altho I'll probably check her again at +6.
