Another pink start :arghh:, likely a result of last night's swan dive from PMPS to +2. We had a pajama party on the sofa while she woke me up periodically to demand more of her favorite BFF 13%. It doesn't help that her appetite hasn't been great -- I think she is burnt out on the two brands of rabbit pate that I've been feeding her. I sprinkle freeze-dried salmon or cat grass clippings over it, but all she does is graze the top to get the goodies and then walk away.

More prednisolone makes her hungrier, but the vet is adamantly opposed. I understand that it can be harmful to organs in the long term, but is that worse than slowly starving to death? She's 2.5 lbs lighter than last year at this time. We see the internist on 1/22 and I think I'll propose alternating 1.25 mg (her current dose) with 2.5 mg (previous dose that she did so well on) every other day to see if it helps.

Happy Friday to all :bighug::cat::bighug:

Ahh, sorry to hear about the appetite. Maybe she knows if she holds out she can get the good stuff. Have a good day!
Thanks, Tim -- I think you're right. At one point she learned that she could get treats by meowing in mock distress so that I would run over and test her. I thought it was nice that the treats outweighed the ear pokes, but the howling made it impossible to concentrate (I work from home), so I had to cut out the treats for a while to break the habit. She's a smart cookie.

Happy weekend to you and Pookey!

Thanks, Cecile. Maybe we should have Bella talk to her about food appreciation? But only if she promises not to mention caterpillars :eek::joyful:

Thanks, Diane.:bighug::cat::bighug: She seems a little out of sorts since yesterday and has been sneezing a lot. Hopefully it's just a cold or something that will clear up on its own.
