Somewhat of an eventful night. I could see Bama was speeding downward a little faster than I liked so at PM+4, I gave 3 cat treats, some kibble and LC FF which bumped him up to 259 for PM+7. He has resumed his drop. Despite his PM+9 puke, he maintains a good appetite. For his AMPS meal he had Weruva Cats in the Kitchen Double Dip [8%], pumpkin w/psyllium husk powder, some B12 sprinkles and a few kibble. Complicating today's agenda is a bit of overnight snow and my mom's early morning doctor's appointment, an approximate 30 mile drive. It's one of those maintenance, get-your-prescriptions-renewed and required bloodwork. This doctor group, as I believe most are doing now, will charge patients who are no-shows $50 for appointments not cancelled or rescheduled 24 hours beforehand. We will assess the road conditions and make our decision as to whether we attempt the trip or not. All this to say, I may be bringing out the cat treats to avoid any threatening shark-swimming attempts by Bama this morning.:eek::nailbiting::p:D:cat:

You would think that, doctors being concerned about their patients' well-being including venturing out when weather conditions are not ideal--especially their elderly ones as Mom is. Their policy does not appear to take anything into consideration other than their bottom line. Testing @ +3 then leaving for couple hours, maybe longer. Who knows?
 
Just about to walk out the door when Mom insisted that we stay home due to road conditions. She'll call the doctor's office and if she is unsuccessful in getting the penalty waived, then I'll follow up with a letter later on. Unfortunately, I had just dosed Bama with more treats and a little Karo water as he did not want to eat. Guess he'll be flying high for a little while. Good data to have though, in the event of a true low BG emergency, to know how this excess of carbs potentially affects him. He was settled in for a long nap.
 
Despite his bump to 190 @ AM+5, Bama has resumed his journey downward and has reached the green. Where are these flat even numbers glargine insulins are supposedly known for? Maybe he has reached his surfing point. The next few hours will tell that story.

Think we may have gotten 4 inches although a little north of us in the Huntsville area, they got 7 plus. I guess it missed you guys as it was moving northeast and then up the coast. Anyway, it was mostly melted by this afternoon--melted to be refrozen into black ice. Yikes! :woot:

Oh man. My kids are so upset! We missed it. They’d have been out there playing and making snowmen even if it lasted only a few hours. When we moved down here that was one thing they lost that they miss.
