I'm not an R expert by any means, but it's looking to me like 0.5 R might be too much now, with the new Lantus dose. If he got to blue coming off of HI, that is probably too fast a drop and will set up another bounce. I think I would cut back on the R dose now.

sorry I didn't see this. we have no water issues from the cold here. Cut back or go off? Cut back to what? like .25 if he's high again?

where in Germany? I see Bavaria but where I mean if u don't mind saying? I do a lot of travel for a big German Corp. I think that one of their headquarters is in Bochum and they travel from the US to Dusseldorf and Frankfurt VERY often. Used to be Cologne but not too many nonstop flights from US to CGN anymore -not that there ever were :YMSIGH: . Mostly they stay in Oelde when they are there. But that's Westphalia...you are way southeast of that, right?

it's nice to see alex coming down.
we had a water main break just a couple weeks ago. i never realized how much i took having water for granted!

It's horrible, I feel really yucky right now. This has been since 9:00AM and it's now 4:30PM. I had t cancel plans for today so instead I am catching up on 'correspondence" tech_cat
 
Aaarrgg I should be in bed already.....I live in Füssen probably most well known for the castle Neuschwanstein (I see it from my livingroom drinking24 ) I'm 5 km from the boarder to Austria and about 1 hour from Munich. We are 900 meters high in the Alps so we can have strong sunshine and violent thunderstorms or icy cold and llots of snow. But whatever the weather it won't last long confused_cat

what I meant was...has he been high long enough that his liver has to be re-trained when he does start (please God)getting consistently low numbers again?

It is possible. Sometimes it doesn't take too long for the liver to forget, especially in a kitty that is newer to diabetes and LTS.

Don't forget, though - the rate and size of drop also count and can cause bounces, not just the number being lower.
