Trix's numbers have been slowly creeping up a bit, and her trips to the lagoon have been so brief, so I did get a little trigger happy this morning and gave her that threatened dosecrease. It's a good day for it, since I it's my day off and I'm home to monitor....but it doesn't look like it's going to be too terribly exciting (during the day at least) anyway. She has made a couple VERY solid attempts at kibble raids this morning...she is always fast and sneaky, and never ever passes up an opportunity when MamaBean turns her back for even a second...but today, she has got some extra mojo going and has been super fast and sneaky!! Silly girl....I'm sorry the Wellness is so darned yucky.

Nice recovery there Trixie. Now green! Oh that kibble is way too temptiing. I'm glad we don't have any in the house. Tarragon loves it. Have a great day Amy!

Hi guys .. work that extra juice trixie! Mocha is also sneaky, or tries to be, about raiding twix's kibble .. every once in a while she does manage a few bites! Have a great day guys!

No lagoon for me today...I iz all-in for the blue curling team - woohooooo...see you on the ice!!!

Trix has been tired of Wellness for quite some time now...she's been through so many cases and always has the same "meh" reaction. I am lucky...she DOES eat it, especially with layers of FortiFlora, but I know she is not thrilled with it. Makes me sad that there isn't a food she can enjoy more....

Don't you just miss the days when you were completely oblivious to what a cat should eat and just poured kibble into their bowls whenever it was empty and they loved it, ate whenever they wanted, and, ta da, that was it? The day I opened a new bag of kibble was always Champ's favorite day. I would set a big Rubbermaid cereal keeper on the kitchen floor, open the bag of kibble, pour it into the bin, and leave the lid off so Champ could eat off the tip top of the new pile of fresh kibble. At least he doesn't have other animals around still eating the stuff while he has to go without. Poor Trixie!!! :lol: :lol: I hope she gets to the green lagoon on this new dose...fingers crossed!!! I looked at her SS after your comment in Champ's condo last night. I CANNOT BELIEVE she was up to 5 units at one time. Trixie is the one kitty I was sure was going to go OTJ. Oh well, I guess we'll remain old-timers. At least she's healthy and happy!!!

Whoopsee, sorry Amy. Trixie, I retract my lagoon comment! (now she should do the opposite :lol: ). I hope you can find another food she likes soon...if only we had more choices...

Hi Amy,
I so hear you on the foods too. Today I picked up 2 cans of the Wellness Kitten. I don't think I have ever tried that one. I cover all the Wellness with Fortiflora too, but like you said, they learn to just lick the top off. Cleo has been eating the Ziwipeak Venison & Fish without any toppings, but it does have fish and phos is 260 :sad: She only gets it a couple times a week. I have written to Wild Callings to find out their "as fed" values, but so far, no response.

Cleo also keeps an eagle eye on the civvie's kibble. She pretends she is just walking through the kitchen, but she is really waiting for them to finish, and for me to leave the room so she can jump up and grab a mouthful :lol: When she was first diagnosed, she couldn't jump up to the contraband, but she sure can now!

I am really glad I went for that dosecrease this morning!

Yeah, I either miss the kibble days...or, more than that, I wish I could convince my kibble addicts to eat what Trixie eats. That would make things so much easier. But years ago, when I tried to convert them (long before Trix was diabetic), the literally chose to starve themselves rather than eat wet food. I tried all of Dr Lisa's tricks, as well as a few of mine own...it was a big, huge no-go....

@Patty - Yep, I think we're here to stay. That's OK...as long as she's healthy and happy. I'm so used to planning my life around her schedule - I don't know what I'd do if that weren't the case :roll: :lol: !!

Today looks like NDW. What will tomorrow bring? Rusty likes Paw Lickin Chicken. have you tried that one?

@Ella - Yes, we did try Paw Lickin' Chicken last year. Trix actually did love it, but it made her BGs go crazy - I kept doing increases and just couldn't reign her in, so I had to take it off the menu.

The blue team is nice but the green team needs you, Trix. Zener is a big kibble addict too. I found some kibble that had been in a plastic container in the closet and his little nose went crazy when I cleaned it out. L :lol: :lol: :lol:
