We had a crisis at Casa del Allie and consequently steve didn't get his shot on time. We were 5 hours late. Judge me...it's okay...I'm already doing it myself. Putting a nice cherry on top of the already bad dose time, the wrong dose was also given. DH gave the dose and he accidentally gave 1.5U. This is more my fault than DH, I thought I told him we were doing 1.25, but apparently I didn't.
SO, now I'm trying to figure out how to proceed. I was hoping to do a curve today. I can do one easy-peasy now cause I'll be here for all the times. BUT...I don't know if the late dose will affect the results. I was under the impression though that a curve done the first day at a new dose wouldn't really give good results. I really don't want to poke him today, if it won't provide valuable info. I could switch the curve till tomorrow, but should I step back down to 1.25 or hold steady at 1.5.
Also, how can I move him back to his normal dose time safely? I've been off by an hour or so before. Never by 6 hours.
I'd love it if you could answer these and any other questions about the universe when you have a moment (tonight's lottery numbers anyone? anyone?).
Thanks!
