Red's one of my favorite colors. Just not on you, sweet Musette...you look better in pinks and more blues and greens. Come down quickly from your bounce, little Cupcake.

Well Musette is coming back down nicely, hopefully she will clear this bounce fairly quickly.

Now for the bad news, Maxwell has sick all night last night, threw up several times, although he as fine early in the day. He still acts like he doesn't feel good again today and when I test him when I tested Musette he tested at 136! I'm trying not to worry that he may have come out of remission since it is only one number and he could have eaten shortly before I got it, plus if he has an upset tummy that could make him jump up as well. He has done this one time before , not this high though but he finally hacked up a hairball and then his numbers went right back down to normal again.

Right now I just plan on keeping an eye on him and testing him a little more often to see if that is just a fluke number or if he needs to be started back on insulin again. But hey even if for some reason he is out of remission...Got Insulin, syringes, meter and test strips. :lol:

Hi, Mel ~

Musette's coming down well from her bounce at +3. Hope she clears it soon, Mel, and starts giving you some lower numbers again.

So sorry to hear Maxwell's sick, Mel. When Willie, our first diabetic cat that was in remission, wasn't feeling well, her numbers would be higher, too. And then when she was well again, her numbers always dropped back under 100. Here's hoping that's also true for Maxwell, Mel. Feel better soon, little furguy.

Just retested Maxwell and he is back down to 128, and seems to be starting to feel better. At least he's eating, he didn't last night much. So maybe he just had an upset tummy or something, he has been hitting the boiled chicken treats a little hard the last couple of days. Or maybe he was jsut jealous of the attention that Cupcake gets and decided to get my attention. Boy, seeing him hanging out by the water bowl today, certainly got my attention!

For as high as she started today, I can't really complain about where we are at +6. now today if she wants to give just a straight downward slant I wouldn't mind a bit.

Maybe they're both reacting to the labor that when on last night? Maxwell stepping in as the nervous expectant father and Musette reacting to the extra stress in the air. Hope all are doing well!
Can't wait to see pictures of the kittens.

LOL Marcy could be. Well whatever was going on with Maxwell this morning its over now. He just tested 72! :mrgreen: Musette on the other hand is at 350. :cry: But then again she has only been on this dose for a couple cycles, but if she continues to stay high, might have to look at taking her back to the 1u that we kind of skipped over.
