1/29 Luci AMPS 238 - Food question - Elsey's Clean Protein Dry

Quick question: Does anyone know the carb count for Dr. Elsey's Clean Protein Dry Kibble? I just received a bag from Chewy.com - gave a few kibbles to Luci and she gobbled them up! She usually only reacts like that to the high carb treats...just checking. Thanks!

Well mama was all chicken over nothing. Luci must have heard me wringing my hands...and did nothing...she wasn't feeling like taking any more dives and barely moved off the mark from her AMPS - in fact went up at 1+ and held it thru 2+...and didn't make much effort to get off the high part of the beach as the night wore on.

Let's see if she makes it back to the lagoon today?

Looks like you were right on that one! ...and I hope that Luci will follow her friend and had back to the lagoon today.

I hope the dosecrease shakes Luci loose of those blues and yellows, and she gives you a nice green surf today.
Failed reductions are so disappointing. I think I held the dose too long on some of Bailey's failed reductions in the past, and I believe it caused us to lose momentum. I'm glad you decided to go back up to her 1.25 after just a few cycles. I hope she earns a true reduction soon.

Does anyone know the carb count for Dr. Elsey's Clean Protein Dry Kibble?

In the FAQ on their website, they claim 4.69% for the chicken flavor and 9.06% for salmon. That accords with derived values I've seen, like 6.4% and 10.2%.

Don't anyone shoot me! Tiny does get a few YA and PP as treats. No more than 10 pieces at a time, once/day and that is mostly at night so she'll hold her BGs and I can sleep. She tolerates it well and her BGs remain good, so...I think the 4.69% is accurate. PP does also have canned chicken that the crew here seems to enjoy.
