I haven't been on for a bit because my senior girl is quite ill. We aren't sure Taz is going to pull through this one :( She has been our baby since she was a kitten and we got her from the farm the summer after we got married. Her bloodwork showed low potassium, vet also thinks her arthritis is involved. She is not strong enough to get up and move herself around. We started potassium in her subQ fluids on Wed morning I think it was. Today we gave a B12 injection. This morning she did wake me up as she did her walk along the window ledge to get from the bed to the spot in the corner where her food usually sits. Then she climbed onto her spot in her cat tree between the bed and the food spot. That was VERY promising. But then after her fluids and other meds she was pretty laid out again :(

As for Mr Lincoln. He was a good boy and gave his best cycle yet yesterday morning.. then BOING! He is coming down off of his bounces quickly now instead of sticking to the ceiling. It looks like we will need to go to 2.25U, just waiting to make sure the bounce from that 68 has cleared. We has a good stretch going there with no reds and those AMPS yellows sure were nice to have show up.

Tomorrow is another dipping day. And it looks like one of my boys has a lesion on his arm:mad: So we add him to the fun and cleaning the whole house.

Blessedly, tonight my husband comes home from being out of town all week for work.

Many vines for Taz, getting the potassium to a good level could make a world of difference. Lincoln, you are making good progress but the bean is tired of those bounces. Be good to have DH home.

Oh no. Hopefully continued potassium will mean continued improvement for Taz.

Lincoln is looking better. Sorry about the ringworm showing up on another kitty. It will be good when your DH gets home for sure.

Poor Taz. She is lucky to be with you, though. With your knowledge, you'll do all you can to help her stay as comfortable as she can. :bighug:
Lincoln's doing really well, I think. Slow and steady wins the race! :)
That ringworm is a bear. Stratus (my civvie) still has it. Although he's improved, he spread it to Miles' ears and I recently found a ring on my leg. It's itchy. Darn evil fungus! When I get back from MO, I guess I need to clean everything again. :(

Thanks everyone. Taz looked much better again tonight. I came home from trying to get a couple hours in at work and she had gotten herself into her cat tree again and I could see that her food had been nibbled on so she felt good enough to try to eat on her own. Lincoln decided to give us a pretty nice PMPS too :)
