Well... she bounced
When I got home from work yesterday her PMPS was 547 despite hubby giving her mini meals ...

I’m gathering all my data and composing an email for Dr Norrell to review on monkey. And I’m calling her office today to schedule an appointment.

monkey has never been better otherwise though .... peeing normal, nice poops every day, more active and lovey.....

That's a great report on Chicamonkey. Cats are so much more than her numbers. Are you able to test her ketones periodically? Just a good thing to do if they are spending time in high numbers. I rather suspect the bounce was from the night before, not yesterday.

Yes I test her for ketones weekly... I did the morning of the big bounce.... negative

And we have a Telehealth appt in 2 weeks then Monkey will see her for a first visit after that!! AND her current vet sent me a response saying he believes monkey is definitely not ACRO, (which I don’t know how he could say that so definitively..... without bloodwork- he’s only met her once) he said she just may need more insulin. Which is a relief because he was so hesitant about me bumping her dose up!!! It totally took a load off my shoulders!

A cat needs however much insulin they need. Good to hear the old vet recognizes that finally.
