I know this seems small, but I'm so hoping he can hit the big 'R' soon. This last decrease to .75 is not keeping him between 50-80, even though he's mostly under 100 these last 9 days. (Last night he had 1/4 can sliced with his pate for flavor, so the 110 this AM). Any thoughts, we want to get to the finish line! (I backed off some of my testing since he's become so regulated.)

That's a beautiful SS, I hope Zeke can get there. We've been at this 8 mths now. I realize 4 tests are good, just trying to give us a break with the 3, his numbers stay within 10-15 points always. I'm just looking for encouragement, I guess, that we aren't stuck here forever. Thanks.

He will let you know when his pancreas has healed enough so that he no longer needs the help he's getting from the insulin.

I'd be thrilled if Luci had numbers like this every day...got yourself a nice healthy kitty there :) He just needs a little bit of medicine every day to help keep him that way.

Zeke's numbers look amazing!!!

I'm not too well versed in the nuances of attempting reductions but like Ari said, if Zeke stays in numbers under 100 for a week and following TR, you could attempt a reduction.

I know you only test 3 times. Maybe try fulfilling the requirements for TR and get a before bed test too. Maybe you'll catch a low number and be allowed to reduce.

Thanks everyone, I know I am fortunate to have a healthy boy, he is doing great, I feel for everyone who has the side troubles of this dx like pancreatitis, neuropathy, etc, and send best wishes to all in your struggles:bighug:. Crista & Ming Before bed is AMps we are a 3rd shift household! Will pick up the testing my next day off. Thanks!

Zeke looks great, he may earn his next reduction just like the last, slow and steady until all green for a week. You haven't really been stuck for long at all!! He wants his own timetable;)

I'm still fairly new to this, but his numbers look so good! I bet he totally hits remission at some point. I don't know if this would help, but do you give him small snack meals during the day? Someone here suggested it for my kitty Snickers, and it helped her numbers go down a bit. Like I said, I'm new, so I would maybe ask someone with more experience, it's just a thought I had since it helped Snickers :)
