Webber sounds like Mally - she goes to bed with me (on the pillow right next to me) and doesn't get up until I get her out of bed to test her.

Great PM cycle!

BTW, yes, those were photos of Gabby and Gizmo and there were a couple of George (GA), my 20+ yo kitty who went to the Bridge in April. A friend of mine is a really wonderful photographer and he took the pics.

I am not quite ready to go to bed. My only concern is if he drops below 50. However, since he seems to drop slowly (fingers crossed) I don't think he would stay there too long or go much lower. But these types of cycles are very new to Webber and me.

Question/Advice/Thoughts - from the patterns you have seem with Webber, do you think he is one to drop too low and need HC? I know he responds to LC food just fine.

Well, so far so good, but as soon as you try to predict how a kitty will react.... kaBOOM they do the opposite!

As far as LC vs HC, if the LC gets your kitty surfing at a safe level, then that's all you need. Save the HC for when/if there is a number that is too low and he needs to get up higher quickly. For example if Webber was 60 at +2, I'd give some LC to keep him surfing. If he was 30, he'd definitely be getting the HC. 'k? The timing and the BG number are the information that help you decide what to do. I hope that wasn't too vague.

But it is hard to be absolute because there are other times when HC might be the preferred choice. For example, if it is around nadir or slightly later and you need to go to bed... then you abort the cycle with HC to get the BG up high enough to be very safe to go to sleep.

Barely. One more spot check in about 20 minutes and then I think I am going to have to crash. There is plenty of LC food downstairs in the kitchen. Hope Webber can take care of himself cat_pet_icon I am supposed to get up for work in 5 hours :? TGIF!!!!

I have another check in 20 minutes too and then I'll know what time to set the alarm and get a spot check again.

I hope you can get some sleep and rest well. I'm glad the weekend is coming so maybe you can get some "cat naps" in during the day while you're off.

Well pooh, he is still dropping. But not drastic. I think I am going to set my alarm for a +8. I think he should be good. Ni ni LL.
